If you have a full course load - do not take this course with this teacher until you can lighten your load to 1 other class, maybe 2. She is VERY intense and you will sit in anguish for most of her class. She means well, wants you to be the best, but she really causes a lot of unnecessary stress & pressure. But most everything is fixable.

Mrs. Cross is one of the most professional professors at FAU. She is very concerned with each students success, and has an incredible way of getting to understand the lives of her students. She has captured the beauty and passion of education, and wishes to share that beauty with her classes. I am fully prepared to Student Teach after this class

Comment:

Professor Cross is a wonderful person and an amazing professor, however, in order to take this class, you must be motivated and have your priorities in order. The coursework is EXTREMELY HEAVY. I would highly recommend her but don't take this class with more than one or two other classes or else you will be overwhelmed and exhausted by the end.

The course work is HEAVY, but she does her best to guide you to be a super teacher. If you put a little effort in your work and actually listen to her, you WILL learn and you WILL be happy you did. She's very approachable, patient and helpful if you're not an idiot.

WOW!!! I learned some things in her class, however at what expense? Was the worst semester of my life!!! She makes you redo assignments over and over again but does not change the grade. She really feels you have nothing else to do besides her coursework. After you finish her class you feel like just ran a marathon. I suggest taking someone else.

She loves to teach and makes it clear. It was a summer semester when I took her class and it was a lot of work. However, I really enjoyed her class. She makes the class fun and interesting, I couldn't imagine taking the class with anyone else.

One of the most self-centered of teachers. Get her off the EAPS and she is an empty dress. There are better choices. I wish I had actually learned a specific skill that I couldn't look up in a book somewhere.
