Awesome professor, sat and talked to her as much as possible this past semester. She is easy to talk to and very wise. The work was a lot but it wasn't difficult-- there is one portfoilio at the end. She is a real gem... I'm going to miss her and her class so much!!

One portfolio, lots of reading. Pretty vague instructions, but she's not really strict about anything either. I wish she would update some of her novel choices, but the other reviews kind of explain why she hasn't. Not a bad course, but lots of busy work & time poorly utilized.

This class takes a lot of work, but it is not HARD work. At the beginning of the semester she lays everything out - how much each assignment is worth, etc. so you can really keep track of your grade. Each week she gives a clear list of what is needed for the week and it is very easy to do well in this class! (Intro. to Young Adult Lit - Online)

The class was "Young Adult Literature-Critical Methods" but the class focused on teaching, education and lesson plans. The description says it will focus on sociological and psychological perspectives - not true. No tests, one collective portfolio. Not a hard grader. If you like to read a lot and you read quickly, you'll enjoy this class.
