She is a great lady and teacher. The class consists of 5 quizzes and 4 are used for grading along with participation and writing assignments. Her directions are very clear and is also willing to answer any questions. If you show up to class and pay attention you will do well on the quizzes. Would recommend taking this class! (CHS/SOC 303)

Comment:

The class I took with her was Soc150B2 Sex and Gender, this class was one of my favorite Soc classes so far. To pass this class make sure you are on top of her quizzes (easy don't even need to do the readings) and make sure your essays are solid. Her TA's grade them and are very particular on APA formating, I made the mistake of using MLA :(

Dr. Roth is respectful, dedicated, motivational, kind, and a wonderful teacher. There are 4 tests, 3 writing assignments, and they all are based on short interesting readings and the powertpoints which are uploaded to D2L. Attendence is mandatory BUT its fun to come to class. No texting allowed but the lectures are so great u wont want to.

She was an amazing teacher and was extremely passionate about what she was saying. When people tried correcting her it didn't go well, but if you just do the assigned readings and show up to class, the essays and tests will be easy. NOTE: Tests are NOT cumulative!!!

She is really helpful if you attend her office hours! However there is a lot of reading like 60 pages-100pages a week its a lot of work if you wanna do well u have to read all the articles too

This class made me fall asleep almost everytime. A lot of reading on D2L and there are about 20 pages per reading give or take. She is really nice, and cares what is talking about, but unless you are sociology, I would not suggest this class to others

Very approachable professor. If you do the work and attend the lectures you will pass the class. My impression is that she gave equal opportunity for participation to both male and females. I truly recommend this class to anyone.

Awesome class. really interesting. DOing the reading is the only way to get an A on the tests. Very fair tests if you've read/recall main points. No more opinionated than any other prof, has research to back up ideas. DOES give men fair/equal participation. Do show up- surprise, easy in class assignments and DO reading responses.

I love Dr.Roth, although I agree with the other comments, she is stand-off-ish, but that's part of her appeal. She's really funny when you get to know her.
