I've met many professors who know their subject really well. A few of them were also good at explaining it to students. Prof. Chedid is the best I've had and I can't recommend him highly enough. Signals & Systems can be a nightmare (ask the guys who had Bourque) but he made it easy. Make sure to do all the homework and you'll do fine on the exams.

Chedid is a fantastic teacher. Although he's a little bit long winded, he really knows his stuff and he makes sure you do too. Attendance is MANDATORY, but I've loved both classes I've had with him and plan to take him as often as I can. I recommend him to anyone who can take him.

Comment:

Prof. Chedid is a nice guy and really loves engineering (and Fanta!). The class wasn't very difficult although the lectures were sometimes boring and on basic topics like good notetaking & time management. Sit in the front since he does talk a little quietly. I think he would be better in higher level courses. I'd recommend him.

He is a know-it-all. he does know a lot, but thinks he knows everything and you know nothing. he should also practice what he preaches and stop mumbling and stammering when he speaks. if we are not allowed to in presentations, he should not be able to. he is always saying design to save money, blah blah, but then give you 1200 page powerpoint p

This guy is ridiculous, he mumbles all the time and stutters like crazy. The class is boring as all hell, you can't help but fall asleep. For example one day we went to a lab and the technician didn't show up, so he just starts throwing random pieces of metal into the machine, he broke it. Make sure to hear him say "society". It's funny.
