He does his best to make a 2-hour lecture worth your while. I learned so much about not just school but life in his class. Yes, its true he talks about Teslas, his honey, etc. but it keeps the class interesting and relatable. He is super helpful with problems even outside the class. He is a teacher that actually cares about his students.

Honestly one of the hardest classes I have ever taken with the amount of essays and IRPs (essentially mini essays done through formatting). However I found the coursework to be worth it, for the essay topics would go well in a portfolio for transferring. He does go on tangents and you may get stuck from time to time so contacting him is a good idea

The class is easier if you read everything. It will be hard to skim and then write and get a good grade. Though, you do read a lot, so get some reading in over the week if you can. His instructions for assignments may look long and complicated, but he is just trying to be specific. Just take time to read and you'll do well

Honestly this guy is one of the most intelligent people I've met. He has a deeper level of education with plenty of resources to make you a better writer, student, and professional. He might be a genius. Idk but this dude really knows his stuff. He kinda knows so a lot about everything.

summer session-straightforward on grading & follow the format of the examples he gives & you shouldn't have a problem. Not an "easy pass" but you will get better at writing! He's passionate about what he does which is inspiring. You read books so don't wait the night before, lots of thinking. It's not hard, but you put in work.

Textbooks available in online course files; rubric is clear as are assignments. Work is typical for college-level English; LOTS of reading pays off in critical analysis skills outlined in textbooks. Would not take this class w/math, as the recommended study time (min 8 hrs /week) is necessary. Prof responded to emails timely & very helpful.

By all means get ready to read! I took this class online after his engl1 and it was difficult. He has weekly discussions, weekly research papers, monthly essays, micro essay questions for mid and final, and a CRRJ that usually becomes extra credit. Easy to fall behind but clear guidelines for all assignments. Slow on fb but has a ton of students.

His lectures seem bland or irrelevant but he throws in comical remarks every lecture. Each essay project is clearly outlined and is an easy A if writing creatively is your strength. Make sure you read what he assigns as It is critical to your essays!

I could not think of a more inspiring molder of minds. He opened my eyes to many oppurtunities and methods of thought that I had not yet experienced until sitting through his classes. He teaches well and in a clear manner. His feedback is solid and he is always willing to meet during office hours. He even stays back after class for quick questions.

Please do not take him. I have not learned a single thing in his English class. It sounds like an exaggeration but he does not talk about any material EVER. All he talks about is Tesla cars, the taliban, and fancy food. I have taught myself this entire class and it HAS NOT BE EASY. Be prepared to read a looot of thick novels if you take this class.

Prepare to spend most of your week reading. The essays are stressful and the literature you are analyzing is really not all that exciting BUT this is the first class I've ever taken that taught me or challenged me. Very difficult but feedback is very thorough and communication is prompt. Clearly a passionate teacher.

Like him as a person but online this class was terribly painful. He drones on and on before ever coming to a concept similar to an instruction. Prepare to read in code. Also, long papers and a ton of reading. Navigating online course is difficult. Concepts are extremely abstract as well. No book.

I do not recommend taking his online class. His assignments were not clear and when I emailed him to clarify assignments he would respond after the assignment was due. He is also pretty late on grading assignments. If you take him, expect long research papers every week and be stressed out trying to figure out what he really wants.

I took this class online, it was so difficult. I did not understand what he wanted. My grades were awful. I emailed him and from there, there was a lot of support. He is crazy late in grading but I never had any issues with email responses. He was very supportive and helpful. I passed with a B, you just need to interact with him. Ask questions.

Teacher does not respond to emails! Took him 5 weeks to grade 2 assignments that he said he would have graded 5 weeks prior. If you take this class prepare to be completely stressed out and unsure if you are passing. Definitely will not take again.

Overall he's not a bad teacher but I think he would be better for higher level classes. Papers assigned were very long and require a lot of research and thought but if you follow his model you will get an A. Do the work and you can pass.

Very difficult in an online course. Given the opportunity to take this class again I would do it in person. He's religiously late on grading anything so don't expect to know your curent grade. He's quite the delight in person. Very confusing online and he's slow to respond/ wont respond to questions. The course is also quite challenging.
