She is super super nice. But unfortunately she cannot teach. Super slow pace. Confusing. Get ready to teach yourself with a textbook. Tests are not hard, but she wants you to explain everything even if you get the answer. Homework is not required to hand in. Some EC problems. Attendance is needed when you are at the border line of grades.

Oh what to say about Luz Dealba. I had her for my FYS as well as linear algebra. She's very nice and her classes seem fairly easy enough. However, she is a little unorthodox at times. Favorite moment was when one student asked a question about her directions, she paused for a moment & then just randomly turned around & walked away without a word.

Very nice woman, can have fun with class, but she teaches math with powerpoint. Not recommended if you don't like teaching yourself or putting in extra work. Also, moves through the class slowly and makes things more difficult than they need to be.

Very nice lady. Couldn't really keep up with the class so I ended up dropping. The problems on tests are much harder then the practice problems she gives out.

These reviews definitely don't do her justice. She's an extremely nice lady and does her best to keep participation and interest up. Despite sometimes appearing to treat her class like elementary schoolers, she knows the material and is more then generous and fair.

Decent teacher. Sometimes she confuses herself and explains things in odd ways. My major piece of advice for this professor is to explain EVERYTHING on your tests. My first test grade was much lower than the rest of them because I was not used to explaining even the small, obvious steps.

Don't take any classes with DeAlba if you can avoid her. Class is long and boring. She's not helpful and not entertaining. Tests are fairly easy if you've taken calc before, otherwise she's hard to follow and sometimes doesn't seem to know what she's doing.

Intelligent teacher, but difficult to understand. What she does isn't what I would call teaching- her class lacks structure. This class can be very difficult. She can be helpful outside of class though. My advice: do the homework problems, and study the quizzes and worksheets for the tests.
