Lynda Gammon was the worst professor of my university experience thus far. For a Drawing prof, she sure did not teach any technical drawing skills at all, preferring to leave the classroom frequently and mysteriously for hours at a time. I strongly encourage you to not take a class with her.

Lynda was a great teacher who is interested in the success of her students. Her comments are constructive and she pushes you to do well. If you don't like hard work, don't take this class. If you want to improve your art, Lynda is a great choice. She will teach you new techniques and you will walk away with a better awareness of art practice.

Lynda is extremely intelligent and is very encouraging of students. She demands a lot of students - but in the end you come out a lot more skilled and versed in your medium/area or interest. Very highly reccomended if you want to work hard and push yourself to do unexpected and exciting artwork.

Lyndon I liked in the beginning but then by the end of my time at Uvic I found she lost it. If she liked you you did well and if she didnt like you you didnt do well, plain and simple. I am not a fan and although I dont think she is the worst teacher, I wouldnt recommend her class to others.

lynda is one of the few profs in this department who actually encourages students to pursue their own ideas, not just the ideas of the department. pushes your limits without pushing you over the edge. great lady with a great laugh!
