This class is a lot of work. It is very book heavy in fact you have to read one book within a week and a half about 3 weeks in. BUT, the work is interesting which makes it bearable. If you follow her directions and her examples you will do fine in the class, if you don't, there is no chance of passing.

The class is tough, you have to work for the grade you want. There is a reading assignment (whole book in 2 weeks?) Very interesting! I've learned how to email a professor correctly. She offered extra credit in the reading modules. Overall, a very good teacher that will make you actually learn something.

Has a very rough reputation of being a tough Professor, but it is more of her making you work for your grade. There will be a lot of reading and expected of you, but is do-able. Will take some will to pass, and she has no sympathy for doing work poorly, so prepare to read.

Comment:
Dr. B is an incredibly strict in-flexible teacher. She has no tolerance for mistakes, although she frequently makes them her self vie lectures and assignments. For example, she took points off for not italicising a book title, but failed to do so in one of her homework questions. I would not recommend this teacher.

I had trouble with Dr. B. I got a good grade in her class but I felt that maybe she is not meant to teach online courses. Her lectures were hard to follow and sometimes when you answered a question on an assignment she would dock points and ask additional questions as the reason, which was frustrating. I would avoid taking another class from her.

This was my second class I've taken from Dr. B. I took it online and I have to say, I really missed her lectures and learning from her. The online environment misses out on so much learning opportunity. I would definitely take a class from her again but she's retiring.

Dr. B is overall a great instructor, but she may be better in a classroom setting rather than online as she was not to in her instructions of "abstract essays" and "argument evaluations" and it took several of us students researching and pooling together to figure out what she wanted.

This woman is extremely rude and condescending. I'm a straight A student and she basically suggested that I should drop out of her class after 1 week. She is also absurdly slow with grading assignments. By far the worst college professor I have ever had the misfortune of taking a class from!!

DONT TAKE HER CLASS!! Extremely condescending, encourages you to drop out, does not care about her students. Oh and dont you dare ever question her or challenge her. The first day of class she will tell you that debating and open discussion is okay but once you disagree with her she will take it personal and kick you out. Very rude in her emails.

Tests are hard and require a lot of studying. Tough grader. But you get what you put into this class. Receiving an A in this class is not easy but doable.

I emailed questioning a grade on a test response and was told to not email her again and that I was abusing the "privilege" of emailing her. She said she would report me if I emailed her again. This was for an on-line course mind you, the main contact method is email!!! Thinks very highly of herself and is very condescending.

The worst teacher I've ever had. Expects you to work 10-12 hours on her class. Long reading and writing assignments every week. Email her for help and she will tell you if you were struggling you should have dropped. She bases part of your grade off of how close to the deadline you did it. More work than any class. She doesn't cut any slack.

Avoid Dr. B at all costs! She literally kicked me out of class for combing my hair and another student for tripping over someones backpack, saying we were being "disruptive." She relies on the text to teach her students while providing little to sloppy explanations of the subjects in class.

Lynn's intro to philosophy is far denser than myself, (and clearly other reviewers) were expecting, grading criteria is ruthless, due dates are inconsistent, and she is willing to take over half credit off an assignment for format alone. Seems like a type A person teaching a type B class to me. If you take her, DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE.

I took this class online and wasn't expecting what I got however she is an amazing professor and very intelligent. You have to want an A to get an A and you have to work for it. If your not serious about college and it shows in your work, she'll let you know. A lot of reading and time consuming but essential for a Nursing Degree.

I took this in my first semester of my freshman year. It was, by far, the hardest class I've taken to this date. I was not prepared for the amount of writing there was for this course. This class should be a 200-level class, because the content isn't easy to understand, and the workload is ridiculous. I plan on retaking this course for credit.

If you care about your GPA, not worth your time. Extremely hard quizzes on material that is super easy. Isn't very clear on assignments, tells you her expectations after everyone has already gotten their grades back. She had a s great personality, but not for being a teacher. Constantly goes off on tangents instead of sticking to the material
