Tries very hard and gives handouts. When he says "pay attention this is important" pay attention and hope you understand what he is saying. Just like with many teachers who teach complex subjects, his explanations have too many possible interpretations. Teitell is the only professor I have seen that does it right but not Jalali.

Pay attention when he says "Listen!" and take notes when he says "This is very important." Other than that, rest of his lecture is irrelevant info. His teaching style does not have structure. The textbook is basically useless since he will provide handouts every week. Very strict when it comes to lab and class report formats. He is funny sometimes.

he was a jerk to me but some people love him. He is all over the place on his lectures. There is no tangent he hasn't gone on. He does know his stuff and can explain it well. is better in the low 300 than the high 300 and 400 classes.

Speaks very clearly. Knows his stuff very well! Also, is very concerned about students knowing the subject or not. May jump around topics and come back and forth, but overall a good guy. Makes you earn an A. Always on time, and always gives handouts.
