He is very nice, kind, and helpful. As a teacher, his methods will not be effective for most students in terms of getting high marks. Some of the things he teaches are not tested. Regardless of his passion to teach conceptual ideas in order to foster "true" learning, this does not yield good grades. Study hard and be happy with C+. No one fails....

I heard a lot of bad stuff about him before taking his class but I found him a very nice person, very knowledgeable, always helpful, bit tough in exams. He has very good and intelligent TAs, always up to help students. My advice would be to not miss his lectures and tutorials.

He's a great guy, just not a good teacher. He likes his stuff, knows it well and is willing to help out, but he doesn't present it in an interesting way...at all. Lectures are long and seem to carry on forever, if you stay awake that is :S

I think he's such a likeable guy... I don't know how anyone could say otherwise. Always around if you have a question. And he puts so much emphasis on what's important, it's hard not to know what to expect on an exam. Great guy, Great Prof

Although he's a nice person, his teaching skills need to be improved. I was never fully awake in his classes and the material is so vague.. Very tough grader even if he says he's easy.. He is simply not meant to teach, im sorry!
