I took 3 classes with her and although she has the nice lady look thats all she has. she is a liar, she does not read the work she grades and she does not teach. i got normal grades in her class partially because i love journalism too much to drop it and because she never read what i handed in. AVOID HER!!!!

I feel bad saying that Intro to Journalism was extremely tedious and boring, mainly because Prof. Williams is very nice. Strangly, I think that her attendance was worse than mine.

I had Madelyn Williams for three of my first five Journalism classes and I nearly wanted to quit the major. She is truly a nice lady, but she is not a good teacher. She is unclear and terrible at explaining things, she's not particularly smart and she doesn't really teach you much at all while you're taking her classes. Avoid her at all costs!!!

Cancelled class when she didn't have good reason to; I understand about her husband, but she cancelled class to give us a rather short assignment. Not very helpful proofreading, shows movies that don't always help. Final exam not a very good test of material.

Just to let everyone know that a month before she did her first day her husband was diagnosed with lymphoma, hes been battling it since. I had her at GMC; my best professor and her connections are amazing- if you earn it. Cut her some slack; would you be on form with a suffering/ dying husband?

No no NO. She is boring because all she does is go off and talk about things that have no relevance to your education. You basically learn nothing all semester, but it is a pretty easy class. I wouldn't recommend her if you want to learn something though, I hear the other sections of J-Research are actually prepared for their future endeavors.

We don't do anything all semester, don't learn anything, just bored to tears by her tangents, long-windedness, you have to write a paper and that's it, but if you REALLY want to learn something don't take it with her. I have Williams for News I and Ethics. After almost 4 years of college she is the worst professor I have ever had. She is always late, puts films on and leaves the class, gives no feedback, gets defensive when you question anything, does not turn papers..

Take one of her classes if you want to be constantly annoyed with meaningless busy work that teaches you nothing and wastes your time. She would make a good elementary or middle school teacher. Annoying assignments, but an easy A overall.

She's easy. She tries to appear organized, but falls apart easily. This is not the professor to take if you want to learn about broadcast journalism or start in the field. Basically, freshmen beware. if you're well-versed, though, she's an easy A.
