Maeera is a sweetheart, truly cares about her students and goes out of her way to make sure everyone has what they need to do well. Participation matters, but even if you're the quiet type she will go out of her way to help you engage. She's definitely one of my favorite professors.

I enjoy this class, the professor is personable and knowledgeable. She is clearly excited about the texts and willing to answer and explain questions. She can be hard to follow and requires some homework and (obviously) a lot of reading.

Professor Shreiber is engaging and clearly cares about the material. She welcomes class input and is very open to differing opinions on what can often be very subjective material. It's been hard for me to get an A on any of the papers, there always seems to be the "minus" after it. But class participation counts so speak up and you can get an A.

I'm sorry to say it, but I would like to warn any other student not to take classes from this professor. She is the absolute worst professor that I have ever had. Not nice, not engaging and not informing.

At first, I really liked her. But as the course progresses, you will find out that she is very insecure about whether or not her students actually like her or the course; silly I know. She has one way at looking at subjective material and expects you to repeat only what she thinks is important on the exams.

very bad professor. she is nice unless she disagrees with you. she is embarrassed when she is wrong and becomes offended easily. narrow scope, narrow views.

Easy class, but can be dull at times. You'll get tired of the, "I wouldn't do this, but I'm not a 'real' poet" comments, but it's not a bad class. About what you'd expect from the course description.
