It probably does not help that we have a difficult English program, but it's still hard to get an A. Many times where she waited until it was too late to inform us of something we should have known a lot earlier, and it felt as though she did not plan things properly. Use the Writing Center and meet with her as often as possible to help your grade.

Absolute hardest teacher for easy subjects. Requires students to do unnecessary amounts of work for the material that must be learned. The material is very simple to understand and does not require the amount of note taking and summaries she requires students to write each chapter

Yes, Dr. D's class is very difficult but college is not supposed to be a walk in the park anyways. Slackers and unintelligent people cannot appreciate her wisdom and insight but those that aspire to excel in their academic endeavors will gain considerable amounts of knowledge that will be helpful in future classes.

She is a really good teacher. she is very strict, demanding, and her load is very heavy. But if you do all of your assignments with diligence, come to class regularly and on time, schedule appointments with her, and the most important of all, seek help from the Writing Center and Supplemental instruction tutoring, you will do great in the end.

Very hard teacher more work then needed for this class, the class is pointless everything is common sense and learning about the school. Do the papers and take good notes. Talks really fast so it is hard to take notes. A nice person outside of class but not a good teacher, she treats class like it's the only one your taking.

most pointless class i've ever taken, all because i messed up on the compass math. be prepared to do a lot of boring busy work. i was the only one to pass her tests. she's hard to understand sometimes but make sure you do the "campus activities" and submit the reports on the visits. so dumb. don't make this mistake.

She's real cool and down to earth; however, she's very demanding and expects the best. As long as you work hard and show that you're willing to improve you'll be able to pass. She grades harshly and goods feedback but the compass was really easy

Dr. D was a great professor. I took her class during the summer term. She was nice and the class was okay. we had 2 major essays and "hell week" when we wrote an in class easy everyday. She gives feedback and opportunities to revise essays. We had to do the grammar exercise booklet too. I passed the class and compass. She's strict but helpful.

Put a lot of stress on the students. make you think that you can't read or write b/c her grading standard was so different from the regular ones. She gives u bad grade to push u and make u work 1000 times harder even though u end up with the highest score. so, don't be panic if u get a C+ b/c you will do just fine at the end.

Learn a lot from her, but never want to take her ever again. She was a helpful and wonderful teacher, but her grading method was impossible. For someone who's a straight A student, her class is very stressful because no matter what u do, the highest score is C+, but then u may end up with the 100% avg. because you hv the hightest score in the class

To be honest, she is a hard professor, but most students will benefit from her teaching. My personal experience proves that every assignment and in class essays are neccessary for further English classes (ENGL1101,1102,Humanities). Try to complete every homework, even though it needs a lot of time and work. You will appriciate her training.
