I was in a car accident during my Freshman year, so I didn't get the full effect of Dr. Schramm's course. I am remembering parts of it. I have a traumatic brain injury, with a short term memory lapse. I still have my writing passion, though, writing things, in different places. That will never leaver me. My writing fair.

HORRIBLE! I heard she retired at the true blue weekend and a bunch of us rolled our eyes, agreeing she was the worst professor we ever had. Thank god for the others. She clamped down on independent thinkers and forced you to follow her mandates. She was ridiculous and a terrible instructor. Thank god she's gone!!

Maggie Schramm is an extremely helpful person willing to go an extra mile for a student if they need it. She is passionate about what she teaches and it shows in the classroom. While she may disagree with people who pose a different idea than she (but then again, who doesn't), she would never disregard a student's comments if supported eloquently.

Please people, take Prof. Schramm with a grain of salt. Not every professor is going to be super easy to deal with. I do, however, agree with the sentiment that she is a balker when it comes to "original thought"...whatever that is. She has a teaching style that is sort of dictatorial, but she has a lot of good points. Maybe you should decide for yourselves if you agree with her opinions. She is a professor for a reason--to PROFESS.

I made the mistake of choosing her as my thesis advisor. She was very unclear and was harsh, not helpful, in helping me write my thesis. I loved being an english major and worked with many others profs in the dept, but she was the worst.

Dr. Schramm was tough but made us work hard and learn. So many people went to the 'Wick to slack off and she wouldn't let us. I wish more professors did likewise.
