The worst prof I have ever had. The only way to get by in his course is to work ALOT outside of class. His examples in lecture are not at all helpful, he never goes through all the steps and when explaining and defining new concepts he tends to start in the middle. Single handedly killed my interest in physics. He's a nice guy but can't teach..

Nice guy, but he appears so confused. I love seeing him wander around Stirling looking like he's lost... This course is a hard jump from high school physics and he certainly doesn't make it any easier. He's old-school and it shows in how he teaches. If you're thinking of taking PHYS 104 for fun... Don't.

Possibly the hardest course ever. He is really old-school and pushes you hard to the bitter end of every lecture, every week, every term. You cover a lot but how much you learn is up to you and your ability to think math. He really care though. See him outside of class.

Everyone naysaying stott are just morons. Stott is a great professor. He goes over some theory and then shows you how to derive equations yourself from these basic principles for any problem. If you are smart enough to get into queen's you be able follow.

Stott is terrible. I have difficulties understanding the material presented in the classes I actually went to. He wasn't very helpful when I asked for help in this course. Overall, don't bother going to his classe, go to Dr. Somi instead.
