Comment:

Dr. Medvin is a good choice if you want a professor who is tough but fair. She uses lecture powerpoints every class, so make sure you take notes on those and read the book. She is not a discussional professor, but more of a lecturer professor. She is very passionate about what she does though! She loves developmental psychology!

She pretty much treated us like we never took a psych course before... and this was capstone. It was easy, but the class was just a review of material we already knew. She really was not helpful. If you want an easy capstone class you can sleep through and pass, take her.

The worst Psychology teacher I ever had. I don't understand why she is head of the department. She basically is a dream killer. She told me I was never meant to be a Psychologist. Mean while I do excellent in all the other classes. Her classes are extremely boring. I reccomend not taking her classes if possible. The quizes were also really dumb.

Although i am doing well in her class, i feel the quizzes need to go. Its rediculous to read 30 pages for a 5 point quiz twice a week when i have other classes to worry about. Hmm.. study for bio or read 30 pages for 5 pts. And those quizzes add up!!! She is a very nice woman though. Very intelligent and helpful but she kinda scares me sometimes

I had Dr. Medvin for several classes, including my senior research. Overall, she was very helpful and willing to work with the students. Be cautious in choosing her as a research advisor, however, as she tends to be indecisive and a little foggy in some areas of students interest.

Dr. Medvin is willing to meet outside of the class, and she can be helpful. Her teaching style is all lecture and it is very dry and boring. She is harsh with her grading and her tests are very difficult.She gives reading quizzes that are on random topics. I would be cautious with her class.
