Comment:

Good professor overall. Class can be boring, but is overall pretty easy if you attend lecture. All homework is done in class, and is fairly easy to get 100% on. Exams during the semester are not bad, final was cumulative and a little harder, but still manageable. She has an accent, but is pretty easy to understand if you focus during lecture.

She is so nice and cute. It can be a little hard to understand her at times because she has a thick accent, but it's really not that bad. She cares about you if you care about the class. There were two exams during the term, for both you could just review the powerpoint and be good. She's big on not having homework outside class which is super nice

Comment:

In my class she had to clear grading criteria. The person sitting next to me and I would have the same answers on tests but one of us would have 5 points off and the other would have 3 points off. Hard to understand and lectures are very confusing. Got a 100 on the first test and a 70 on the second. Would not take her again.

Comment:

Very sweet lady but can be difficult to understand during lectures at times, but she's very helpful when explaining things one on one. The tests can be somewhat difficult, but if you study they're fine. All her powerpoint notes are online which is nice. She doesn't use D2L which can be annoying, but it's turning out fine.

Comment:

Very difficult to understand and not very clear explanations on somewhat difficult topics. Also not very clear on assignments and some quizzes since she says herself she rushed through to write them. Will give you a quiz each week and sometimes on new material covered the day before. Avoid taking her classes. Doesn't clarify well either.

Professor Zheng is a nice lady and I have no complaints. She may be vague on assignment details, but take that as a sign that she wants you to have freedom and explore different methods of solving problems. This is a great professor if you don't like being spoon fed.

She is extremely hard to understand in class and does not explain things very well. The slides usually don't have explanations on them and her order of teaching is not helpful. Also, she doesn't clarify her expectations of you. Very frustrating class.

She is kind of hard to understand at first and you have to actively listen in order to interpret her accent. She lets you use your book and notes on quizzes but not exams. She tries to help as much as possible and will even tell you test answers if you ask questions about them. Vague assignment descriptions. I didn't get much out of the class.

Mao is a very nice and helpful teacher. She has a Chinese accent which can make her difficult to understand but you can get use to it. The quizes on fridays, the tests, and assignments were reasonable.

Mao is a very good prof. She is a little hard to understand the first few times in class because of her speech patterns, but you get used to it after about a week or two. She is very nice and helpful whenever you have questions. I recommend taking her!!

It is incredibly hard to understand her and her directions are unclear. The small labs are completely pointless because no one ever knows what she is talking about and they never last the full hour. If you take this class, try to get Berand. He's the best one.
