Wow! If you still can get out- GET OUT. Like others have said, she assigns more work than 4 other classes combined. Very condescending. She is very confused and therefore very confusing. She seems like a decent person at heart, but definitely has issues with talking down to students. If you still can, RUN AWAY! Fast! NOW! GO TALK TO YOUR ADVISOR!!!

Also had her several years ago and nothing has changed.Sets clear expectations but is very condescending - writes snide remarks.Not a very effective teacher.Tests are not difficult if you complete/read study guides.She makes herself available but lives in Hawaii so you have to wonder how involved she is with the context of the student's work.

I love her! She is very helpful, and she responds very quickly to questions. At first I was intimidated, but she is great! Do your mods with real effort and you will be fine. I have a perfect A in her class.

I took this as an onlie class. Do your weekly MODS, read your chapters and study for your exams, that's it. She cares about this subject and wants you to do well, but you have to want it too. Just when you think she's the toughest professor, she cares enough to make sure that you are doing your best. She's tough but ultimately she's fair.

The mods are small essays not papers like the previous posts said. Don't be lazy and put some effort into your work and read the text and you should do fine. The prof. spells out her expectations clearly in the syllabus. I got an A.

This teacher is useless, after taking her class i will NEVER take another online class. She gives you these readings that have nothing to do with the module. theres also ALOT of writting involved and her tests are extremely hard, and some of the material has not even been assigned.

codescending is an under statement for her. Her exams are extremely hard she has 12 mod's a lot of writing. I thought this would be a fun class. After taking her class I don't think I will ever take another online class. It has been an awful experience. I would not wish this class upon anyone with this teacher.

I read a couple of the previous posts and most of the negative ones are extremely accurate. If you are only taking 1 class a semester and plan on working on that 1 class like it is a full time class load then this professor is for you. I think the leading descriptive word for this woman is condescending. I passed but would NOT reccomend her.

I took Intro to Soc online. This course is labor-intensive. Class work involved 12 papers with citations (full page to page and a half in length. The tests were very involved and difficult. You will learn the material!

I'm not going to pretend that her class was the easiest A ever but those that are putting up the nasty comments are those that expect a B just for showing up. She'll make you work but if you do what you're supposed to her class will be extremly valuable. Get an A out of her and you're producing quality work that completes at the graduate level.

I took Soc online. Lots of board postings for homework. If help needed or has questions her responses were condescending as if she were much better than the student. Course notes not the same as what was in the book or what was discussed in boards. very confusing. Would not EVER take a class with her again!

Don't take this professor. She's more interested in taking points off your assignments than teaching you sociology. Nitpicks about references and citing but has no clue where the caps key is on her keyboard. Uninspiring and annoying. Hyphenated last names indicates deep rooted issues. Ugh.
