Very lazy and knows nothing about oil exploration. He copies questions from previous exams including bad grammar and spelling errors. He thinks finding oil is like gambling and pure luck to make a discovery. I am sure he hasn't discovered oil in a very long time as he has no idea what he is talking about. WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!!

The lecture notes in this class are really concise and easy to understand with lots of supporting diagrams and photos. The lecturer has a wicked sense of humour. Marks are divvied up well. The labs support the lecture material for the most part, although some labs need teaching or demonstrating.

Bustin has this awesome dry sense of humour that some people are too stupid to get. He's a great guy and I can understand why he gets sick of idiot undergrads who want everything handed to them on a silver platter.

so rude and unhelpful.so boring. doesn't put up notes till like 30mins before class. notes are unorganised & full of spelling mistakes & other errors. he clearly doesn't give a damn about teaching. he just wants to do research & make money for his company

Doesn't diserve the bad rap he is getting. Notes are well-organized and available. Yes - lecture style is boring and he talks too fast. However exams don't have any evil surprises and in general he simply cares more about his research, I guess.

By far the LAZIEST and WORST prof in EOS maybe even in science. He is SO UNHELPFUL & BORING. HE DOESN:T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT TEACHING OR THE STUDENTS. Want to do well? Memorise past tests/finals and your guarranteed an A+

Bustin is simply the greatest professor at UBC. He's the coolest, funniest guy I know. His exams are made up with help from his 20 year old son, so no one should have any problems aceing his exams, unless they're stupid.
