Excellent professor! He is very helpful during office hours. He is also very patient and goes over the material slowly in class until everyone understands. Exams are a bit challenging but doable. The questions tend to guide you to your answer. He uses a lot of fun current events such as sports to make the class more entertaining. A must take!

He is perhaps the nicest professor I've ever met. Although I don't like his class, I love him! He is always willing to help, and truly cares about his students. He can almost call on anybody's name in a class of 60 students. Class materials are not interesting to me. However, his grading is OK. I screwed up the final but still ended up with an A-.

Professor Rysman is definitely one of the top teachers at BU. He is extremely clear, precise and helpful. The class is interesting, and he is very good at stimulating interest in the subject. Tests aren't too hard, and mostly come from the assignments. Take this class!

Best economics professor at BU by far. Great mix of legal cases and mathematical models. Gets through an incredible amount of material without overwhelming, and is incredibly helpful and clear. A sizeable number of problem sets, but not overwhelming. Overall, fantastic!

Before mentioning the class materials, easiness, and all that, being an international student Professor Rysman was truly nice person who understood what students want. He has strength in both mathematical and economical problem solving. He has very rich knowledge on his field of teaching and yet with wits. I strongly recommend this course.

One of the best Econ classes at BU, definitely take it if your concentrating. Rysman is an amazing professor will always help before mid-terms with tons of extra office hours, review session, practice tests ... Tests are pretty easy if you listen in class and take a some notes! GREAT PROFESSOR!!

Rysman is amazing. He writes very clear and detailed notes that help a lot when studying for tests and the hws are just like the examples we do in class. He has a big curve on tests which helps a lot. Gives very fair test grades and hws are easy pts. Hes good in office hours and always willing to help and explain things. Gives good reviews b4 tests

Great teacher, go to office hours if you need help, do the HW! for easy points, tests were hard, but fairly graded. Take him over Idson. I hated EC201 after Idson, but I regained my interest in it again. :)

at first he comes off really disorganized, but give him time. he is probably the best prof. ive had here. he is always available for help and is willing to spend as much time as needed to clear things up. he is a very very fair grader. he is also well educated in economics which i feel makes a big difference in teaching as well. take his classes!
