Comment:
He is difficult to understand because of his accent, he jumps around during lectures so he's hard to follow, he does not use powerpoints and rarely writes on the board. He also repeats himself A LOT, which is really annoying. He likes to put students on the spot, so beware.

He might have been a good professor 5 years ago, but that has greatly changed. He is too old to be teaching. Takes himself way too seriously, never has understanding lectures and doesn't tell student grading scale, ever. Very unclear, seems afraid of technology, and will consistently remind you he is a great person for teaching you.Avoid this class

Material is disjointed and random. You never get a clear understanding of healthcare, just random bits of info. Portfoliio assignment is confusing and he does not explain it well, at all. Gets angry when students ask questions. Lectures are boring. Demands students look over notes instead before class begins even if class won't start for 10 mins!

Awesome professor. This class is his bread and butter. Established the Medical Sociology field here and at the Medical Center. Lectures are intense, be prepared to take more notes than you have ever taken. And take them fast. You will learn so much, and as long as you put in the work, you'll do fine. Can't wait to take his medical soc grad class.

Haha! I will admit I used to hate the guy, but after Midterms he warmed up and has become incredibly helpful. He's very intimidating, but when you are with him one on one he is the sweetest man and really helps you to get the best possible grade you can. Great class

What? Hahahaha. Took him 2 years ago, just remembered this class. He reminds me of Christopher Walken doing some bizzare character. Best thing ever is when he's talking and quotes himself "'Blah blah blah' - your's truely" Oh, and the craziest thing, it was a regular class size, but he used a microphone. He sure is one interesting, crazy teacher.

The worst teacher I have ever had!!! He grades easy, but I dreaded going to the class every day. If you didn't go he would give you a hard time about it. If you don't mind listening to someone quote themselves for an hour then you can take this class. If not, I would avoid this class.

Every person of Greatness has an attitude. The damn class is not that bad, nor is Dr. Fredericks. Yes, he is unique but the information that he gives plus the passion he has for his craft is incredible. In school you have to types of students, one who take the class for a grade and others who actually want to learn. Get a Life! Mo!

Seriously people, this is an easy class....the lectures are sometimes boring, but if you can sit through class then you'll get an A. Fredericks is one of the funniest men alive, who dosnt love someone who quotes themselves all during class??

By far the weirdest and most arrogant professor I've ever met. He's constantly quoting himself and bringing in his plaques to pass around. Pretty much a guarenteed B+ but miss even ONE class and you're screwed.

the guy practically guarantees you'll get either an A or at least a B+. so what if he's nuts, none of it matters anyway. just keep track of how often he quotes himself and you'll be entertained all class.
