Read the books. There are test qs that require dates instead of theories. She will drop Qs that many miss. She gives practical advice -re networking and contracts- that you need rather than teaching the book which you can read on your own. She wants to help you, but won't coddle you. People who hate her tend to have excuses and need hand holding.

From the beginning I could tell this woman was strange and I think she should probably retire. She didn't teach the material but she did like to talk about the things that she was interested in. The book was the only essential tool to pass and it too was filled with useless material. She disappared from our class for the last month mysteriously.. ?

She is probably one of the most unorganized teachers I have ever had. She rarely covered the course material, and always digressed. Basically she's slowly going senile class by class. Test were easy, just do the reading. She scales like its her job! If you ask her a question she wont hear you right and will make you repeat yourself 20 times.

Class lectures are irrelevant to test materials, tests are easy if you just read the book. Very unorganized, lost lots of work. Classes were boring, but show up and its an easy ten points towards your final grade. Read ahead when she says theres a bonus question, it will be easy points if you get it. Tests are all multiple choice.

I found Dr Horne's class to be very informative and helpful. The tests could be hard, but she was fair on questions that a lot of people missed. I'm not quite sure what all the whining here is about!She takes a personal interest in your career track if you approach her, and does nothing but encourage student as she teaches themWhat's the problm

Make good friends with the book because it's all you need to pass the class. Her tests come right from the book. She does give you useful information for future planning towards becoming a teacher. She is a good professor. This is supposed to be an intro course to set you up for other courses - so it's pretty straightforward.

She won't explain anything. She just reads from the book, skimming sentences, and expects us to memorize it instantly. Not that it's a difficult class. She always chews gum in her lectures and is terrible to understand. Not recommended at all!
