Marcus gives clear grading criteria and his class was just a straight A for me. Four quizzes and four tests with a final. That's it. We spend classes to review and I found it really helpful.

Never had any problems in his class. Homework is optional and almost every test he curves. If math is hard for you, you could probably still end up with a B if you study. He's always available for tutoring. If you like/excell in math, it's an easy A

His tests aren't very difficult, and he gives significant curves to each quiz and test. And if you get a bad grade on a quiz, he'll replace that grade with whatever you get on the upcoming test. Very helpful when you go to his office hours.

Professor Roux is a "shy" guy during class, doesn't really make eye contact with the class unless you're asking a question. He speeds through math problems but always asks if we have questions before moving on. If you don't really understand something, he's available during office hours. You can use calculators. Although the attendance isn't mandatory, you may fall behind. The book isn't necessary either unless you plan on missing class a lot and need to catch up on your own. Homework is for your benefit so you will need the textbook if you want extra practice.

Nice guy. Pretty good teacher but is pretty timid in front of the class. His lectures are pretty boring and you take notes pretty much every class. He's great if you need extra help you can go to his office during his office hours.

Could not understand a word that came out of his mouth, and it doesn't help you can't read any of his writing either. He is a very nice guy, in fact, so nice that he allows the class to talk over him where no one else can hear his lecture. Unless you are already giftedly good at math, don't take his class. Also, don't be the person to talk in class

He goes super fast, fast to the point where when he asks if theres any questions you haven't had enough time to process the problem and formulate a question. Very nervous infront of a class, but will help if you ask for it.

Get ready to do a lot of studying. No homework or extra work is required but if you have no previous experience of calc, this is going to be extra difficult. He tries to simplify the process in problems as best as he can though and will spend time with you during office hours. But your best bet is just looking over the examples he does in class.

He is very nervous in the beginning of the semester but becomes more comfortable later. He teaches very fast and it is hard to keep up with him. You can tell he know what hes talking about and once you learn the material it is easy to stay with him during class. Practice the problems nightly and if you need help he will be glad to help you

I have Mr. Roux now for Math 21 and I think he is a good teacher. He tries really hard and you can tell he really cares about the subject. I can definitly see why people may think he is a nervous person, but recently he seems to have calmed down and now he's alot easier to understand. Not to mention he's really cute!
