Mrs. Gonzales-Perez is consistently one of the best professors that I have learned from. I had three of her courses over the last four years. She is a wealth of knowledge! She has an incredible personality. She is active in her field and recently published on various platforms. Her middle eastern poli sci class is wonderful!

I took her class online this semester. Class was very simple. Only three test and three one-paged written summaries on an article. She had each chapter that you have to read on Moodle at the beginning of the semester. She will also send out reminders about due dates. Very good class. Easy A!

Dr. Gonzalez-Perez is awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed her class, you learn a lot! This is a class that you must work hard for your grade, but it is worth it in the end! If you take notes, show up to class, and do your readings you can get a good grade! You can also turn in your research paper early for her to proofread, which is awesome! Take her!

Very well versed in her subject but long lectures with repeated points sometimes become boring and drag on. Can tell she cares and is helpful if needed. Tests are rough and don't always represent material well and large research paper due. Likes to draw circles lines and triangles to explain things. kinda cute in a quirky way, good teacher.

The hardest online class I have ever taken. She gives study guides but the answers are very difficult to find. Gives only three test and the study guide does not help. I asked her about extra credit she does not give any. You literally have to work on your study guides every day non-stop to keep up. Would not recommend taking her online class

Love her. She is passionate about the material. She is very pretty but not sure how this is important. She does expect you to read, which is uncommon for SELU Professors. I think this is why so many students complain about her. She is a diamond in the ruff.

She treats her students like adults. There are three assignments, 2 multiple choice exams and a midterm. She is straightforward and very helpful. Her online class had the most clarity of any i've taken. You know exactly what you are gonna be graded on and she also gives extra credit opportunities

her tests are hard. she doesn't provide much help to her students. tests were a joke, answers that were correct were marked wrong, questions showed up twice, and on the final exam she included questions from previous chapters with no heads up, even after emailing her asking her about the final. only gives three 50 mc tests, nothing else.

i took this course online. each section comes with numerous chapter study guides that she posts on black board along with their corresponding power points. the test are lengthy but not too difficult. there is nothing due in this class except the 3 tests (which includes the final)

She spends 30 minutes talking over one slide and extremely boring in class. I did the study guide for every class and some of the material wasn't on there. She grades hard on her papers. I did not like her at all and wish there was another teacher in POLI 400 classes to give students a different option.

This is my second time taking Ms. Gonzales and I think she is a very knowledgable teacher. You must take notes, however, the tests include materiel from the book as well. She is also willing to proof-read papers before the due date. You must study, but she is nice and does curve grades.

I really liked this class. She makes government as appealing as possible. She remains completely unbiased we discuss during class. Her tests arnt the easiest but if you make flashcards or highlight the book material its not hard to make an A or B

G-P is a great teacher! I had her for a 400-level class and although he class did have a heavy workload, its whats to be expected with a 400-level class. She is knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend her to any student who doesnt mind working for a grade; if you like to miss class, not study, & complain b/c your lazy then you shouldnt take her.

Comment:

If you're taking 201 or 202 and don't care about politics, take someone else. But for 400 level courses in poli sci, she is my favorite professor in the department behind Peter Petrakis. Her notes are abbreviated and sometimes tough to understand, but she is smart and I learned a lot in her class. She isn't biased and encourages critical thinking.
