Logan wasn't a bad professor but she tried to make an already hard class even harder. I understand that there is a lot to cover, but she rushed through the material and I had to teach myself a lot. There were quizzes every week and the tests were very hard with class averages <60. But she wanted us to succeed and was happy to provide extra help.

Dr. Logan does a good job of making sure people understand things before moving on. She sometimes gets a little bit too deep into the theory and doesn't do enough examples, but always makes sure there are practice problems and mastering problems to help study for exams. Also tries to incorporate some humor into lecture which is nice.

Dr. Logan is a great person but she is a tough grader. In class she is no help at all. She reads directly off the powerpoint and never stops for questions. She assumes that you're already an expert chemist. She openly says that she does not care if you pass or fail, she gets paid either way. Be prepared to self teach and find a tutor.

This class is really hard, but Dr Logan is an excellent professor. She is knowledgable, she is very helpful both in and out of class, and she is actually a very nice woman once you get to know her. Anyone who blames her for their bad grade is at fault. Chemistry will never be easy no matter who teaches it - you have to study.

Super nice and smart lady. All class notes are online. Mastering Chemistry provides MORE THAN ENOUGH practice problems that are more difficult than the exam questions. Does clicker questions in class so that you can apply what you just learned and is very flexible outside of class. I skipped 15-18 classes straight and still did well on the test.

Logan is so smart that it is hard to understand what she is saying. she does not start off with the basics You will need to read the book and doing the masterings to understand.

Very hard class. If you don't put the work in you won't pass. All she did was read off of powerpoints and did not go into large detail how to work the problems. Its too much of a lesson for a 55 min class and you will have to stay for every min of it. Also I hated how the 3 exams during the course were such huge points of your grade. Didnt help.

I loved her. Her lectures are usually not boring and the tests are pretty easy. She is easily accessible outside of class and is willing to work with you to improve your grade.

The material was there for the most part. Tests were a bit awkward. Powerpoints are straightforward and on Blackboard so if you're good at Chem don't bother going to every class

i don't even have words for how awful she was. she would ask if everyone understands and when the entire lecture (300 students) said no she laughed and continued on. reads right off the powerpoint, very scatter-brained, spends 15 mins of class talking about office hours and what we are going to learn instead of teaching it. long and boring lectures

She explains everything in a really haphazard way. Her math skills are garbage too. She once did a problem with a calculator and people in the lecture had to argue with her. In fact I'm typing this one up in class and she's writing out a chemical equation like she always does with poor explanations. Cracks bad jokes too. Should be a comedian tbh :)

I took Dr Logan for Organic 1 and I did average with only so much effort being put in. I think she is a wonderful professor. she is very dedicated and has a passion for the subject. she often amazes me with what she can just pull from her head. I am now taking organic 2 with her as a repeat and its tougher but i would definitely recommend her!!

Fair, knowledgeable, and always informs you one what she expects and upcoming due dates. Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. Organic Chemistry is hard, but she makes it simple if you're willing to put in the work. Also a great pre-med adviser. I highly recommend.

I HATE ORGO. DR LOGAN IS A NICE LADY BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT SHE IS A GOOD TEACHER. PAYED ATTENTION TO STUDENTS WHO KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING BUT WAS NOT HELPFUL FOR STUDENTS WHO WERE LOST. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS.

Dr. Logan is great. She is very motherly and will take you under her wing (not a bad deal considering this is OCHEM) She knows her stuff and is a great teacher. She also is an incredible resource when it comes to anything pre-med. I love you dr. logan!

Chemistry profs generally suck; she doesn't. Friendly, maybe the most accessible prof I've had, esp. out of office hours. Class has a high workload. Grading is consistent... and grades are low. Do ALL the reading and MANY problems, you'll be fine. Loved the class.

In MY rich fantasy life, I would avoid Maggie Logan and her god awful iPad. She is however an extremely intelligent woman and more than willing to help when needed. Like any other TRUE science course, you need to put in the time to be successful and can't expect to squeak by like in other courses.

Nice person, Horrible teacher. Rushed through everything, really boring. Quizzes and tests were hard. I changed my major because of this course. Harsh grader with no curves and OWL homeworks are insanely tidious.
