The only time I ever paid attention in class was when we had a guest lecturer on ketai culture in Japan. The readings and assignments were confusing. She's a sweet person, but I found myself zoning out in class all the time.

She is interested in the student's opinion, brings a lot of physical examples to class, and tries real hard to set up tours with IMAX, Dolby, etc. which students should take advantage of if they are interested in their careers. Dull to listen to but effective. Talk to her TA for help on assignment

althought disorganized and slightly crazy, she's incredibly intelligent and knows her stuff. I enjoyed her enthusiasm and interest in what she's teaching. i took 3 classes with her, and she's entertaining and smart.

Incredibly disorganized, attempted to grade based on attendance even though class was never worthwhile or educational. Ruined my quarter with worries about unclear assignments. The material was crap, completely uncohesive. Lecture was like someone's free-write-before-the-essay read aloud.

Well I really liked Maggie Morse. I thought Sci Fi was awesome. It awakened a geek inside me I never knew was there. She married pop sensibility and theory very well, gave engaging lectures (I alwyas sit in front, though) and chose great movies for the syllabus. One of my all-time favorite classes.

I dont even know the name of the course. I have never been so confused in my life. Morse is PSYCHOTIC and totally unintelligable. Stay far away from this woman, her class is a waste of time. She should be fired immediately...

Worst. Instructor. EVER. She seems so terribly confused. She rambles on and on about unrelated things. The readings are way too dense. The only reason I got a decent grade is because of my wonderful TA. "Morse code", indeed.

Extremely disorganized, and definitely had her favorites. She just did not seem open to suggestion, and was not an enjoyable teacher.

I thought this class was horrible! Completely disorganized, unnecessarily dense readings, although the assignments were fairly straightforward. If you are looking for a FILM class, do not take this. It focuses mostly on technology, like 20C did.
