Go to class and you will do well. I made the mistake of skipping class and got a C in the class. The tests are fair and section is optional. She is a good person but most stuff is pulled from what she says rather than what is on the slides so just attend and listen and you should get a B to an A.

Lectures are fun and interesting. Her tests are super confusing. Section is optional but you should definitely attend if you want to do well in the class.

Dr. Wilson was great. She has enthusiasm and spunk for teaching this class. Her lectures are easy to follow and she gives hundreds of examples to make sure you understand. She always posts her lecture slides online and gives study guides for the 2 midterms and final, everything on the study guide is on the test. She really got me interested in cog.

I love cogsci. Material is great! The problem is that Meg's exams are EXTREMELY subjective. I could have argued every answer that I got wrong and I feel that it would have been justifiable to give me credit. This is a problem when exams are 30-40 questions, and you miss 5 because of the arbitrary nature of the questions. Super frustrating...

I am well determined student who had 4.0 GPA. Her textbook was so subjective and when any student asks her questions that opposes to her point of view, she can't even give us explanation. Her lecture is so vague and I don't think she is a great teacher like some people have said in here.

This class was really interesting and well-taught. The lectures could get a little boring but Professor Wilson tried her best to make the material engaging which I really appreciated. She seemed to thoroughly know what she was talking about which made questions and class discussions extremely valuable. The tests were tough though and very unclear.

A really nice teacher. Entertaining lectures and interesting material. She created her own textbook for the class, it's a little too casual in tone. Go to class and you can pass easily.

She's a good teacher. Her teaching style is fun and she has a lot of enthusiasm for this subject. However, there is no practice questions (which I find essential to fully understanding the material). Her test questions are sometimes worded weirdly. There are 2 midterms and 1 final.

Not a bad thing to say about Meg. Uses excellent power-points to supplement her rich lectures. Sometimes breezes quickly through a lot of material in a short amount of time, but makes up for it by being easily approachable and more than happy to review any concepts. Highly recommend, make sure you attend lecture so that those slides make sense!

Meg Wilson is a great professor who truly knows what she is talking about. Her powerpoint presentations are far more clear and organized than most professors and she basically provides her own online textbook on a word document that is really concise and easy to study from. Learned a lot! Would recommend!

She is really bad at lecturing. I didn't understand a word she says in lecture. The TAs are more helpful than her. She interrupts you if you want to comment on something in the powerpoint. She is not helpful and mean, she tells you to consider a new major if you ask for help on how to improve. AVOID HER.

Subject is interesting, which is why I enrolled. But she is the WORST lecturer ever. I have done relatively well in the course but not because of her ability to give a good lecture...I referred to the online notes/readings/powerpoints she puts online. That parts useful, at least. But as a lecturer, she's sloppy and can be rude to students.

Interesting class. She has these things called Twilight Episodes at the start of each class which are super interesting. One thing I didn't like is that she talks about negative stuff a lot, without a good balance of good things. She is kind of a geeky person. Tests are fair. No books necessary, no reading either. Easy class.

The person below me is probably a freshman.... psych 20 is the easiest psych class I have taken at ucsc. Now a senior. Meg is super straightforward with what she wants you to know, and it's interesting stuff. All in the lecture slides.

I am a really studios, motivated, determined student. Meg was very discouraging. If you go to her for help she is not interested in helping. She is condescending. Although her slides were entertaining, when she spoke her vocal inflection was really irritating. If you want a teacher who doesn't care about you go for Meg!!
