Do not expect to pass unless your are already fluent or close. she changed the way the grading is weighted 2 weeks before the quarter finished. my grade went from a 76 to a 43 she made me fail class when i had a B. she has tenure with the school so she can do whatever she wants with her curriculum. I would not suggest taking her classes

does not answer questions in class and will ignore certain questions. Any questions about her grading she does not answer and will shrug off. Among many other problems ranging from unclear instructions, to embarrassing students during class.

Andrews' class is the only class I've ever failed (I'm pre-med BTW w/ a 3.7 GPA). Going to this class was a nightmare. I eventually wrote her an email saying that I wouldn't show up to her class anymore because I was tired of being publicly embarrassed every day by her. She responded carelessly and I took a zero. Do not recommend her, obviously.

She actively tries to embarrass students every class. She's demeaning, confusing and downright lazy. I spent HOURS every single night doing homework and still didn't get a 4.0. She's awful.

Good Spanish professor. Is pretty effective in teaching the material, and is very open to questions. Tests are difficult, but the practice tests are super helpful. I enjoyed the class and she made it fun, even bringing in Spanish/Mexican food to try. Make sure you check your messages, because she sometimes assigns HW in the evenings.

Such a harder grader, and you will have homework almost every single day. And I'm not talking about ten minutes of homework, I'm talking about close to two hours every single night. Basically impossible to get a 4.0 and I do not know one person who got a 4.0. Barely learned anything, and she spent a lot of time talking about her personal life.

Will assign a ton of assignments at the last minute. Not very helpful when you ask for help, and more often than not will leave you feeling embarassed for even asking. For someone that enjoys spanish, I dreaded having to endure 50 minutes with this woman.

Gives way too much homework and randomly assigns it at 8pm. During the entire quarter we did not have one lecture and when you ask for help she tells you to watch YouTube videos and to study more instead of explaining the concept to you. She over corrects and only focuses on writing in Spanish.

Gives a lot of opportunity to pass (ec, etc), but totally unclear on expectations. Insane amount of homework (600 some odd assignments in a quarter), which is not always even collected. Nice lady but comes off as demeaning in class. Virtually no guidance. No lectures. Confusing. Seems constantly angry with students. Not recommend.

I just finished taking Spanish 102 from Professor Andrews. She is very disrespectful to students in the classroom. Lots of outside homework that was started in class. Not very clear. Gives wrong information. I would not recommend taking her class. Lots of writing and speaking assignments. and then forgets about assignments until last minutes.

Be prepared to be assigned copious amounts of homework on an expensive and frustrating system called Vista (lazy, lazy teaching). Be prepared to not be fully aware of what's expected of you at any given point / when due dates are. Marge Andrews is nice enough but as an instructor falls devastatingly short, major disappointment.

I found this professor to be very confusing and unclear about requirements for assignments as well as the due date. Didn't learn much in class because we spend too much time in groups analyzing things. Everything in the class feels unorganized

Her teaching style is incredibly hard to follow. gives way to much homework. tests cover way too much irrelevant information. She grades tests hard. attendance is required. if you miss too many days your grade is affected. lots of group work. overall i did not learn anything from this class nor did i enjoy it

Prof. Andrews is a really nice lady who is willing to help if you need it. She actually cares if you are missing work or not doing well. However, she also assigns a lot of homework. Sometimes she's too nice and loses control of the class if there are obnoxious talkers in it.

She's very confusing and doesn't explain her criteria very well at all. Also, there's not much required homework but you should do it to help yourself. It's practically a self-teaching class.

I took Spanish 101 and I loved Andrews as a professor! She is strict, and requires participation but as long as you work hard you will pass. The only reason that people don't like her is because you must work hard but she is an amazing teacher and was very clear.

I 4.0'd this class; however, I do not recommend it if you're looking for a super easy A. Every night there are readings and the next day we analyze them in groups. Lots of busy work and she treats you like you're in High School again. Sweet lady but average class.

AWFUL TEACHER! At first i thought she was okay and seemed nice and kinda funny, but then i grew to dislike her as well as the rest of the class. Very unorganized, tests cover ridiculous and irrelevant content, every class is spent in groups over analyzing something until it's analyzed to death. Tough grader. Boring. More to say but not enough room
