Margret is a very odd professor. She rambles about herself and how "cultured" she is instead of teaching. The class is pretty pointless. She also acts demeaning, judgmental and disrepectful towards students. She also bad mouthed one of her colleagues, one of my favorite professors, which was offensive. DO NOT take this class if you can avoid it.

This was absolutely horrible for me. Margaret is rude, she doesn't help WHAT SO EVER, and if you email her asking questions, she makes you look stupid no matter what the question is or how polite you were asking. Quite possibly one of the worst professors I've ever encountered in my entire life. Do NOT take this class with her.

Despite the 117, This is NOT a freshman level class in terms of easiness. Margaret can be a bit vague in her lectures, but she has the easiest multiple choice tests ever. Her papers are somewhat difficult, but not impossible. PROPER GRAMMAR GOES A LONG WAY!

Class was a breeze, almost a joke. It was uncomfortable to watch Margret frequently parade herself (diva-esque) as an artist-intellectual. Occasionally, she displayed petty, vindictive and bigoted characteristics towards students. Picks pets and punching bags.

She is passionate about what she teaches but totally a hypocrite when it comes to equally and stereotyping. She preach to students like we are idiots. I am passionate with my learning but I feel like she really doesn't care or respect her students. It is a job after all, but if you don't like dealing with students then don't teach.

I've had her for two classes now, and I have greatly enjoyed having her as a professor. She made sculpture interesting to me, when I had no interest before. Her lecture courses are great, a bit easy, but her enthusiasm comes right through. A great resource.

Easy class, but felt like the material used was skewed to her personal opinion and that we only learned about stuff that she happened to like. Incredibly boring, but required. She had a good lecture voice and was excited about the subject, but so easy that it became a hassle to go to class.

Why the hell doesn't margaret have a chilli pepper by her name? She works out almost every day and is tough as hell. So nice and helpful, I had her class like 3 years ago and whenever she sees me in the shop she asks what she can help me with and goes completely out of her way to do so. More than a professor- a really great resource.

She graded these "artist critiques" quite ambiguously. What the heck do you want lady? Not to mention, I think she is a pathological liar. She names about forty different places she “grew up,” in addition to all the fricken organizations she belongs to. Who cares if you belong to the ACLU, etc. Go save a starving child!

Margaret is an awesome person and teacher. I learned so much about art criticism and about art in general. This was only a 2 credit class so it was a little on the easy side. I don't know how someone could post that she is a horrible teacher. She is one of the best I have ever had.

She's kinda kooky and likes to complain about politics. But she's super nice, has lots of integrity and truly cares about students, if not so much for your finished product. Grades well for good artwork and not how hard you worked on it. Don't buy the book, just take notes when she demonstrates
