Comment:

Although tough, professor Mayhall is exceptional. Her lectures keep you interested on what would otherwise be considered boring art history. She is clear and concise on what you should study for her exams, 4 in total. She drops the lowest grade. Has one simple museum paper and 5 homework assignments.

Comment:

Really sweet professor. Awesome at giving feedback. she focuses on concepts, not dates. Doesn't expect you to remember tiny details. Attendance optional. Gives study guides for all tests and whatever is on the study guide will be on the test. Good at responding to emails. Easy lecturer, easy to understand. No overload of info. Barely any homework.

Mayhall is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. She is very thoughtful and does not just hope that everyone memorizes dates, she focuses on the concepts. She is always available to help or give feedback and while her class might not be an easy A, it is well worth it. I dont think I have ever learned more than I did from her.

Amazing professor, cares about her students. Her lectures are extremely informative and interesting if you have a love for history. It is an easy class to pass if you pay attention and study for each test. Attendance is not mandatory but if you miss a class you can miss whats on the next test.

She is a great professor. She'll make the content of this course extremely interesting. She's extremely personable and will do her best to help you succeed throughout the course. You do need to go to class to have a full grasp on the content taught. If you pay attention and take notes then the exams will come easily to you. Great professor!

I knew very little about art history before taking this class, but she made me love it. This was definitely my favorite class and my favorite professor. She did a really good job teaching the subject while making it interesting. She is also a great person, and I miss being in her class. Would definitely take this class again if I could!

She is very personable and a great teacher. She explains the lectures as a story, so it is easier to follow and to remember. She wants all of her students to succeed, so for every chapter she gives out a study guide and board notes. If you want to pass, you need to attend class and pay attention/ take notes.

Not nearly as bad as the last review made her out to be. If you want to skip class, be prepared to read. If you're there everyday however, her lectures cover everything you need to know for her tests. She teaches art history like a story so it's easy to remember. She has 4 tests and drops the lowest grade. Just take good notes. Summer session.

Professor Mayhall is one of those professors who genuinely cares about her students. She has very heavy lectures with a lot of information at once. Take notes and study because the exams are much the same. Depending on the class she can be tough but talk to her if you're struggling. She's also a fantastic advisor.

This is definitely a time consuming class. Although she doesn't take attendance, you better go to class if you want to pass. Pay attention to what she emphasizes in her lectures for the 4 total mini exams she gives. They are difficult and you cannot wait until the night before to study if you want to do good. Just make sure to go to class!

If you do not really know about art, drop her class. Her notes are all over the place on the board, she expects you to write using "art history terms," and her exams are so hard! She gives a study guide for each chapter, but they do NOT help. She grades really tough, gives 4 "mini-exams" which are not mini at all, and you have a final museum paper.
