As a person she is very nice and always willing to help. However, her classroom is very uncomfortable. Her classroom building activities force you to do uncomfortable things including doing dumb skits for the class. You are treated like a 6 year old and her assignments are childish make no sense. Do not take her if you can help it class.

I was placed in Margui's cohort and studied abroad with her. What a trip! Two totally different situations. Do what you're supposed to do and you won't have problems. Regardless of what reviewers say, you do need to know how to write and use a lesson plan when you actually start teaching. As for Multi-culturalism, get used to it.

Far too liberal for my tastes. Obsessed with diversity & cooperative learning. "Classroom Building Activities" for children! Very anti-lecture/old school style. Requires daily lesson plans the size of novels. Hypothetical classroom list is a huge stretch. Says can't show video clip in your class b/c 1 student religiously cant seem em! What!?!

She's a pretty cool prof. VERY helpful if you ask, but don't try to talk to her just before class... she gets really annoyed because she's trying to prep for class. Do assignments EXACTLY as she says to, even if you think it's stupid, and your grade will be fine. Don't miss class and participate a lot. Is it 2000 or 3000 teacher choices a day??haha

way better than lemke is at teaching in the cohorts her class is way easier than others. she does tend to be overbearring but grading is so easy, and she models the teaching she wants to see, the freakin easiest class EVER!

Dr. Terril is not that bad, i could name a few worse teaching profs here at good ol' cmu. just be prepared for many many lectures on multiculturalism. i thought she was very encouraging. just go in thinking positive.
