I thought taking a 2 hour 45 minute class once a week was a death sentence, but Dr. Mifsud is truly an amazing professor. She keeps the entire class interesting and constantly goes off on interesting tangents, which is usually bad, but when she does it she relates it to what we are learning. She convinced me to be an RHCS major. Take herconfidently

Dr. Mifsud is a passionate scholar, and I have learned so much from her. The coursework will challenge you to embrace new frames of ethics and understand rhetoric in different modes. You will come out of her classes with a new understanding of the rhetoric major.

I had previously enjoyed having Dr. Mifsud in class until she helped me with some independent research. She was very opinionated on my topic to the point of trying to hard to force the direction of the project. Not particularly open to criticism of things she believes or studies. Was not willing to let my other mentors influence my work.

An inspirational professor with a clear passion for not just the study of communication, but for academic life in general. Super nice and very approachable for help. However, she does have high expectations. Primary readings are difficult and will push you, but the end result is highly rewarding. A must for RHCS majors!

I loved having her as a professor. The reading was very difficult because it was all primary texts, but she was so passionate about the subject it was hard not to get interested. She also made sure to relate it to modern day things. She was super nice and always willing to help you out even if you admitted you had no idea what was going on.

I took Dr. Mifsud's class after all my other top class choices filled up, and I don't regret it at all! She's amazing and extremely passionate about the subject. She's also very flexible with the way the class runs. She explains the difficult primary texts very well and will help with any questions you have.

I'm a male and conservative, and not only did I earn an A from her, but she has been a mentor of mine for several applications to conservative think tanks, helping me shape and sharpen my arguments for conservatism. She's no hater of conservative students.

Completely agree with the male and conservative comment. Don't expect anything higher than a C. She'll say that she's open to disagreement, but don't disagree, trust me. Her "passion" for the subject consists of speaking at length about nothing. Nothing at all. Eccentric ramblings as far as I could tell. Nice person, though.

Amazing professor and person. An inspiration to learn from. Very challenging. Introduced me to ideas I had no idea I could ever think about. She assigns all primary texts for readings--really hard stuff--but she teaches you how to read to get access to it. Changed my whole perspective on everything this class did

Mifsud is a nice professor willing to lend a helping hand in completing assignments. But she is disgustingly partisan and picks "favs." If you're male and/or conservative, you're guaranteed a C but don't hope for anything higher.
