She likes to call people out so don't get on her bad side. She'll mostly do tests/quizzes on notes rather than on study guides for the textbook, so you don't need the book unless you really don't understand the notes in class.

Passionate but conservative. Doesn't use up-to-date technology, writes everything on board. Gives you three things to study for one test, all sources don't have entirely the same info either. Okay grader but set extremely specific rules/layouts for papers which can be confusing. Puts a grade on EVERY LITTLE thing students do.

Often throughout lecture, she writes notes on the board with the body language and intention for you to copy them, but then tells us to not copy them and that it is not important at all. 9 times out of 10, if a student asks a question, she raises her voice and discourages questions from being asked. Also gives harsh feedback on writing assignments.

I didn't like her at all. Her class is very difficult even for the intro to geology class. I was interested in geology before college and now being in her class i never want to take it again. It's to bad because i was really excited for the class.

Unfortunately all CEE majors are required to take this class. She is a terrible professor, jumps around all over while doing notes, anything involving writing must be 100% detailed how she wants it or points will be taken off, and she does not clarify anything. My advice would be to hold off on Eng. Geology and hope she retires first.

She was a terrible teacher. She was not helpful, and her tests were awful. No matter what was on the study guides, it did not matter because it was nothing like that on the test. If you are not a geology major, I would avoid this class as hard as you can.

Absolutely terrible professor. Her expectations are WAY too high for an intro class, she's not helpful in correcting any mistakes, she never has any kind of class participation, and she's really just bad at teaching.

Easily the most boring teacher I've had in years. Pretty sure she hasn't changed anything in her lectures since the early 80's. She definitely knows her material, but is very, very bad at actually teaching it. Honestly, I feel like she should have retired years ago.

She is qualified, so don?t argue with her ever. Honestly you will be wrong, she knows the subject. Everything for the exams is notes/review section of the class packet. Put time into memorizing rocks and minerals. Pick a good topic for term paper (make sure you get the geology right). I did bad on the paper but still got an A.

Well, she really loves her rocks and minerals. No homework, but quizzes which cover lecture. Her lecture can be hard to follow when she skips around, but she always clarifies questions right away. Tests are very detailed, 20 minutes of studying won't do, so start early! and don't even think about skipping classes, you'll need the notes.

A teacher who is passionate about her subject but has a lot of trouble getting it across to those who dont understand. Gave us a quiz one day and then in lecture afterwards gave us notes on what the quiz was on that we just took! Lab teacher has a hard time conveying info too. Take something else if your just taking if for gen eds.

Probably the second easiest class I ever took. I got 103 and got to skip the final. She gives out extra credit on everything. If you can't get a C in this class, you don't belong in college. The field trip is a pain though.

this is a pretty easy class if you go to class, read the book & actually study unlike some other ppl on this wall.go to the office visit &she'll go easier on you.it was no problem for me to get an A in this class and i only got like C's or B's on the exams. b/c i did the ec she gave. she's really nice once you get to know her.

She is very unclear and difficult to understand. She uses abbreviations on the board, and unless you are listening intently, you won't know what they mean. She also does not do a very good job at explaining concepts, and doesn't give good definitions of things. Save yourself the trouble, don't take this class.

She, tends to lecture in a wierd order, like she will put up a topic on the board, and then say "But before we talk about that..." which makes taking notes harder, and yea you will need to study, mostly for the rock tests and exams, the quizzes arnt that bad.
