Something that she says almost every class is "this class is very intensive," and she means it. On the bright side, she makes you learn Spanish and you will leave knowing a few things, but it is stressful and tough. She has oral presentations and lots of quizzes almost every class period. She is quite scatterbrained, as well, and tends to forget.

Loved this professor! She's super cute and super sweet. She gives a lot of tests, but I literally didn't come to class for 3 weeks and I still was able to get a good grade while in the class. She's super helpful and as long as you're doing what you're supposed to be doing and looking over the notes, you'll pass. She really works with you.

Lots of quizzes, 4 major tests & 2 group projects throughout the class. I enjoyed her class though, she explained concepts very well and didn't hesitate to help if you had a problem. She graded fairly easy when you had to speak in front of the class. As a plus she was pretty funny.

Burgueno can come off as hateful and was initially very intimidating. However, the more I was around her, the more comfortable I got and realized she just has a hard time getting her message across. The class is very oral and participation based, if you're not interested in that, don't take her. Overall, she is a solid teacher and you'll learn.

Profesora Burgueƃ±o is amazing! She is an easy grader and does a lot of partial credit. She's very willing to work with you. She does expect class participation, and she will definitely know if you don't pay attention. She will call you out in class for using your phone. She gives extra credit on exams, but be sure to study if you're new to Spanish!

She's just bad. She speaks in Spanish and expects you to be able to understand and repeat her exactly. After about 10 minutes of confusion, she'll write it on the board and tell you what it means. Expects you to remember everything single word/ phrase from every day of class and not look through your notes. Wouldn't take again and don't recommend.

Nice, but terrible teacher. Speaks entirely in Spanish, expects you to know American, world, and Latin American history. Doesn't stick to syllabus at all, assigns tons of extra things. Never uses blackboard, rarely replies to emails. Lectures for days on one topic. HUGE waste of time. I went to EVERY class, studied hard, and still got bad grades.

She is a horrible professor. She won't help you when you 're lost, confused, or don't understand something. Very unorganized. Skips around and doesn't follow the syllabus. & she never updates grades throughout the semester.

She is a very funny, petite woman. Her English is pretty clear, and she teaches Spanish at the pace your class needs. She makes everyone speak in class everyday, which was very helpful to our learning. She is very good at helping you if you mess up and just wants to see you learn. I would take her again.

She answers all questions and works very hard to make sure everyone understands a subject before moving on. She operates under the idea NOT making every student talk in class would be a disservice to their learning of another language, which is true. So expect to talk but it's TOTALLY not embarrassing to mess up; it's very helpful.

She''s a very nice woman but she is so scatterbrained that learning Spanish is difficult. Getting something right in the class is kinda hit or miss. If you understand Spanish you''ll do fine but if not choose a different teacher.

Burgueno is adorable. She is sweet but very adamant about everyone participating in class. I found the class to be easy, but I have had spanish classes before. You have 2 oral presentations she grades very kindly and a few simple tests and quizzes. She sends lots of study material. Pay attention and you'll do fine.

Her class is very easy as long as you go and pay attention. She skips around a lot but she constantly emails worksheets and study guides to help prepare for the exams. The oral exams are really easy and if you want you can memorize something before you present.

I learned a lot from her! She may get slightly off topic, but never on anything other than Spanish! The way in which she taught helped me retain the basics of the Spanish language.

Easy A if you act enthusiastic about learning Spanish. There were a couple oral presentations and some written tests, but nothing too difficult. She is pretty unorganized so if you really want to learn Spanish you'll have to put in the work on your own time. Also, she forces people to participate by calling on them in class. Overall, pretty easy.

I'm currently doing my capstone under this teacher and quite frankly she's horrid. I'm sure she's a nice person but she is completely scatterbrained and the class is so unorganized. I love Spanish but she turns my passion into a headache. In regards to my capstone project she is hardly helpful. She'll send you on a wild goose chase all semester.

She is so unorganized. She does not follow chapters, syllabus, or anything. Jumps around and is all over the place. English is her second language so she often assumes you already know the majority of the material. Makes things very, very difficult. Written test, Oral Tests, and then both a written and oral final exam. Good luck if you have her.

She is a great person, but the class was very unorganized. I feel like she had to spend time going over things someone in 306 should already know, which was not entirely her fault. The midterm and final are oral, and she gives little to no explanation about oral presentations, just "guidelines" she posted online. I didn't improve my Spanish.
