I think the students that have rated Crist well were able to discover the one and only writing style she prefers; and those who thrive on ambiguity. She fails to consider in a country with over 3 million lawyers that there is more than one correct style of legal writing. In her class if you don't have that style you can't outwork someone who does.

She's tough, thorough, and focused on giving you the tools you need to succeed as a lawyer. As long as you are prepared to handle constructive criticism, you'll think she's a great instructor. If you're not, what are you doing in law school?

She is helpful and easy to approach. She really wants you to be prepared for the outside world. Overall, she is very clear in what she wants and a great teacher. You will be lucky to have her.

Crist is the best in the building at getting you to write effectively. She was always willing to go out of her way to help. I came out of her class writing better than most practicing attorneys.

Crist is a nice lady, but she is strict. She wants to prepare you for real life as a lawyer, so she won't cut you a lot of breaks. But she is reasonable and usually helpful. You are lucky if you get her for legal pro, you could have much worse at UDSL.

Professor Crist is a tough teacher, but she really cares about her work and does a great job. Contrary to the opinions of some, she is easily approachable and rewarding to work with. She's definitely one of my favorites.
