Comment:

Dr. D is a very sweet woman, but she throws a lot of curve balls on tests. The midterm is probably the hardest test you will ever take. She takes all of the questions from the homework but even if you do not go over the question, she will still put it on the exam. If you dont do the problem the way she wants, she will not accept it.

If you aren't that great at math, this course may be tricky for you BUT if you visit her during office hours, participate in class and try your best at the homework, you will slowly understand the process, and she will notice your effort. She will give you partial credit on quizzes, as she cares about the process of getting to the answer.

Dr. D wants everyone to succeed. She encourages everyone to come see her with any questions and petitioned for a MAT105 tutor. Do the homework, because the quizzes are directly from it (with an adjustment on numbers of course). I am terrible at math, but going to see her, class participation and showing effort helped quite a bit.

My class was an hour and fifty minutes and she was sure to use every minute. Sometimes lectures became boring and dreadful but she is a really good person and is willing to work with you and make sure you understand the problem. Gives plenty of opportunities to ask questions before tests and quizzes.

Dr. Diamantis is AMAZING. And this means quite a bit coming from someone who isn't really a fan of math. She will make you work for your grade, but she provides every opportunity to succeed and she is very funny on top of that.

She is such a sweet professor who wants you to do well. I found INQ boring sometimes and some of the assignments frustrated me because I felt they didn't have a point(like the mandatory events), but that goes for all INQ classes. Very easy class if you follow directions.

Dr. D is the best math professor I've ever had! I took her over winter session even though I go to a different college and she made it very easy and manageable. She is super helpful, doesn't assign a ton of homework, and really wants all of her students to like math and succeed. She is very patient and understanding. Take her class if you can!!

Hated her. So unorganized and we would correct her constantly. Gave almost no partial credit, even if the answer was correct but you left out one word from your explanation. Most of the class is doing poorly and is not trying anything to boost out grades. And she has an accent. and overuses the word "Folks"

I found Dr. D. to be friendly and helpful; she doesn't bite! If you attend every class, participate each time, complete each assignment exactly the way she requires it in the syllabus, and study like heck for her tests, you'll do fine. This was one of the more difficult classes I have taken at SCSU, but it's not impossible.

I did not want to take Dr. D's class at all but had no choice since she is the only one teaching it. There is a lack of transparency in her assignments. I do agree that she knows her stuff. However, I just didn't appreciate being treated like a five year old in her class. She is a nice lady but very hard to understand.

Maria Diamantis is the worse professor I have ever had. I beleive that this has come about since she took on the role of Department Chair. The added responsibility has made her forget why she even has job (her students!) She should not be voted in again as chair and should just stick to being a math professor! She should pracice what she preach!
