I had her two years ago for an environmental class up north in Higgins Lake and she was awesome! Very patient with answering questions and wants to make sure that everyone has an understanding of the material that she presents. Alot of hard work, but she walks you through it. Take this class with this teacher!

This class is about environmental science and was at higgins lake. Only available during the summer so if you want to take a class during the summer, this is the class to go to. Dr. Ferreira is very passionate on what she teaches. Lots of field trips and guest speakers. Once in a lifetime experience. Loved every minute of it.

Dr. Ferreira has very high expectations of her students. This class is challenging on top of a regular teaching load, but she will go through revisions with you until your paper is of acceptable quality. Work in advance of the deadlines if you want input, and she will be gracious and helpful; she doesn't offer the same help to procrastinators.

This Professor is demeaning and rude, talking about how healthy she eats and how all of us should just cook our food instead of buying out. She doesn't answer our questions either and makes us feel dumb when she denies our questions

This class was very informative in regards to natural science topics. However, the in class labs were rather pointless since the Prof neglected to go over them afterwards. Likewise, people did not feel comfortable speaking in class since the prof rudely responded to any Q, "Just think about it". The exams were sometimes tricky too. Avoid if you can

High expectations & lots of hard work, it's totally worth it! Lots of really good ideas, especially for environmental sce. If you dont care/dont apply yourself, then she obviously isnt going to waste her time trying to change your mind. I'm a procrastinator & i still made it thru class w/her help (not rude 2me).

I think those people that sais she was rude are CRAZY. If you are lazy, or don't care about the class she will let you know how she feels. If you really show an effort then she is GREAT. I LOVED her class.

Great professor! Very helpful and always willing to work with you. She hates students who arent able to follow directions and arent familiar with blackboard. she lets you re-do assignments which is cool because the curriculum package grading is difficult.

Extremely rude and never helped with any questions I had. ALWAYS replied to email the day before class which is worthless because by that time you would have figured out what you needed to know all by yourself. :-(

Awesome class and awesome professor. She is inspiring - the kind of teacher all science teachers should be. I would have taken this class for fun. You have to work, but it is rewarding!

Does cool experiments in every class. Midterm is really hard. Big tip: Start on your final project really early or else you'll get screwed. She doesn't like students that show a weak interest in their success.
