Maria was wonderful! Tests are easy because she tells you everything on them. She gives you extra time for anything and you can even decided what day you want to take vocab quizzes on.If you go to class you are set. And if you go through Italian I and II she even cooks for you!

Comment:

Very nice teacher, but can get frustrated with slackers. Gives us homework that takes no more than a half hour and gives us extra time at the start of class to look through books and notes before tests. If you do the homework, it's great. If not, you will probably fail. She will mostly speak Italian, but if you pay attention it's pretty easy.

Great Professor! In her class you'll get use to hear Italian, speak Italian and write Italian; wich are the basics to learn a language. If you think this class will be an easy A, then you're wrong. Only take the class if you're really interested on learning the language and if you're willing to work hard to earn your grade. Recomend this professor.

Italian was pretty easy overall, and she's always willing to help you, but she can be very unclear at times. And yes, she constantly speaks in Italian, so sometimes you have to ask her to slow down and speak English!

All I have to say is that she didn't understand the concept of teaching Italian as a FORIEGN LANGUAGE to people who speak ENGLISH. The syllabus was handed out IN ITALIAN on the first day. One kid had to raise his and ask "How can I tell if I even have homework tonight????"

I thought she was a great lady. It is important to be in class all the time and keep up on workbook assignments. She tells you what's on the tests ahead of time, so as long as you study they're not too bad at all.

Easy to learn from, but in order to speak and read the language you have to do a lot of self-teaching and plenty of studying and practicing on your own. I don't feel like I learned much. I can speak the basics and understand the basics, but can not carry on an entire conversation.
