Comment:

Marian was an awesome teacher who really poured herself into her students and cared about them. She requires a lot of writing and attendance, but if you just ask for help she will go above and beyond to give you a helping hand!! Just make sure you're always on time and get into the class before the door closes. Also, classes are mandatory.

Taking a communication class in order to not getting a lot writings but it end up having a lot of essays to write. She is a super tough grader and she requires that you have to be exactly what she wants to get good grades. You should meet with her twice or even three times a week to understand and to know what to do. Her instruction is not so clear

Marian is an impassioned prof who expects participation. She is very communicative in and outside of class and wants to work with you to succeed. Her lectures are one of the most important parts of the class, but there is a lot of reading and small group projects. She's one of my favorite teachers for her passion and knowledge. She's brash but fun.

This is my second class with Marian. She's a great professor and she genuinely cares about her students. Her office hours are great and she's very approachable. However, a lot of her can be assignments frustratingly confusing, which is strange coming from a comm professor. I've had to come to her office many times just to clear things up.

Marian is an excellent teacher that clearly cares immensely about both the subject matter and her students. Lots of critical self-reflection, lots of writing and lots of tough subjects. I didn't think the actual assignments were too challenging but the subject material can be tough although ultimately very rewarding.

Most amazing professor I've ever had the honor to learn from and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. So inspirational, the only professor in my college career who's lectures I would catch myself thinking of on the way home and even then on my way to work. My heart goes out to this amazing powerful woman!!!!!

One of my favorite professor in SCC. Passionated, always want to make sure students understand everything (included class materials and assignments ). Enjoy every moments in her class! Be Prepared to write! Highly recommended!

One of SCC's best teachers! Very sweet, funny and approachable! I very much enjoyed every one of her classes and I think so did the whole class. She gives a lot of projects, which are do-able and grades fairly. This is not a sit down and read a textbook kind of class, this class involves a lot of participation and interaction.

Not always clear in her expectations, but very willing to discuss things in office hours. Expects the best from students and will work very hard to help you excel if you are willing to put in the time and effort. Tough grader but will work with you. She's one of those teachers who thinks scantron sheets and quizzes like that involve memorization, which really don't teach us anything. She believes in teaching us to relate our personal lives with what we learn in class. For this, she is absolutely phenomenal. She's hilarious, she's real and down to earth, and she seems to really care about you.

She is an amazing person but hard grader, I have been in Seattle Central for almost one year and her class is my favorite, I met a lot of friends there. However, she is not clear about her assignment, especially in midterm and final. Always give your paper for her to preview before the due date! That's help a lot.

Marian ROCKS! You will pass with flying colors if you show up to class and do the work. She presents multiple assignments at once and it's confusing, but will take all day to make sure you completely understand what's going on. Sees through BS excuses. Second half of quarter is spent working in group w 2-4 other people.
