Comment:

She may the worst professor in the communication department at UC, but the classes she teaches are mandatory for the PR certificate. She doesn't care about students well-being and quite frankly very behind on PR and communication methods. Try to not take if possible

Comment:

The way this class was set up was just weird. Lots of discussion boards and she'll change the grading criteria as she's grading them so it's hard to know exactly what she wants. There are also 4 total papers, 3 worth only 25 points (but require 5 pages) and 1 is a group paper (worth 100 points and at least 10 pages long; not fun for finals week.)

I think Maribeth is a good professor. She makes me laugh! I would recommend her as a prof however she assigns a huge group project and individual projects. Often times the instructions are not super clear, so just ask questions in class. Gives hella quizzes but they're easy if you read over the powerpoints before class.

Don't take this class if you don't have a good printer with a scanner. She will give you a 0 if you email her anything with an attachment, and you can only turn in Word or PDF files, yet you must turn in time sheets. If you don't have a printer that scans, don't take this class. She is disrespectful and unwilling to understand others.

She is so funny and adds jokes to her lectures! Sometimes boring but knows how to teach very well. Has a rattail we laugh about and dresses in fashions from about 15 years ago, but I really enjoy her classes!

Comment:

Wants to see students succeed and will go to great lengths to do so. Challenging, but upbeat and outgoing Miami alum who understands students' needs and issues. Extensive project work, but looks great for portfolio material.
