Dr. Donaghay's teaching style is very old school. It's almost entirely lecture based and she will give you little to no handouts or visual learning tools for the course other than her lectures. Therefore, you REALLY need to pay attention to do well in her class. If you do, however, you'll find that she's very knowledgable and kind.

The fact that I have to teach myself everything in my World Civilizations class is terrible. She seems to know everything about the subject, but the fact that she can not relay it to her students is terrible, and it does not make her a good professor just because she knows the content

God Awful Teacher. Extremely hard. Test are horrible. If you don't mind reading 7 chapters which are 30 pages long and try to remember 20 hours of lecture for each test then you will be fine, but it's a little impossible to do that.

Dropped her class in the middle of the semester because she is so hard. Very smart woman but I just can't follow her teaching style. Her lectures made me very confused and she just stands there and talks and writes random words on the board. Only take if you are determind to read the book and research on your own, other wise DON'T TAKE!

very knowlegable, but this is the WORST class ever! Only 10% of the material covered in class is on the test & the other 90% is something completely random. She will not give a study guide, or tell you whats on the test. And the class is based off of 2 tests and THATS ALL! There are no other assignments & attendance/participation counts for nothing

DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU CAN AVOID IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. All she does is lecture, write the most illegible, random words on the board, and she yells at you basically if you have a question. SAVE YOURSELF AND DON'T SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS.

Very incoherent; literally muffled and mispronounces everything although she is American. Talks about her German vacations every class for the entire period. Reads a paper of notes entire class. Misleading assignments. Tests are too long. Seems knowledgeable, however, she cannot communicate (no disrespect). Too many books and reports; 20pgs/4books.

This is not at all to denounce her historian knowledge; however her teaching skills are not up to this Century. You will not be given power points! She is a true lecture professor, only writing on the board what YOU should read and study more into. If your searching for an ?Easy A? this is NOT the class for you! (she is sweet and will help you)

This woman is brilliant. If students do not like her teaching it is because they are too lazy and really do not need to be in college but should rather be in a trade school. She is the Scholar's Professor! She is generous with students and takes them on trips to Europe and She will go out of her way to HELP any student who is SERIOUS.

DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE! If you want to do well, stay away from her class! She knows what she's talking about but her organizational skills are at level with a 3 year olds. And because of this note taking is utterly impossible. Her grading is absurd even with help from a Lit Major/tutor your paper will never meet her sky high levels of expectation.
