She is unapproachable and impatient. She gives quizzes and tests during the same week. She doesn't care if there are too many chapters in one test as she covers material. If this is your first time with Chemistry and you need help understanding don't risk your semester. Believe me!

Very loud and high pitch of voice. Impatient on students when she is asked twice. Often gives a quiz and a test on the same week. She is teaching a higher level class than Chem 130. Most students are disappointed at the final grade.

Dr. Villarba is knowledgeable and hyperactive but moody. She thinks she is teaching a higher level class. Her irritability and impatience in lab with some students is noticeable. This attitude is unacceptable and unprofessional. If loudness and unapproachability don't hurt you, then Dr. Villarba is the teacher for you.

Dr. Marie is by far the best chemistry teacher I ever had. I took chestry several times without passing and received a B in her class. Material is presented in an organized fashion and she moves quickly through it. Too bad she wont teach my math and microbiology class. Be prepared to study your butt off and pay attention to the lectures.

Dr. Marie loves chemistry though most of us don't. She moves at warp speed. She is an energizer bunny on Starbuck's. If you need a slow pace, don't take her class. Sometimes irritable when asked to slow down. Cell phones..DON'T belong in class. CHEATING in college...grow up! The whole class had to retake an exam, b/c suspicion of cheating!

Dr. Marie shows great passion in her work. I was honored to be in her class. If you have a question she will give you her time to help. She has a great website, and her homework and lecture notes help so much with the test. Cell phones shame on you, grow up you are in college. I feel grateful to have teachers whom are not just there for money.

Dr. Villarba is quite interested in helping students understand the material. I didn't find her to be unapproachable at any time. She maintains course notes for each chapter on her website and proceeds to cover each of them (with embedded problems/examples) as the semester progresses. Highly recommended.

Class is very fast paced but easy. The professor teaches to test. I am very impressed with her notes. She does become a little testy with students who are forever saying "I don't get it"! She expects you to study and do the homework. If you are not serious about your education, don't bother.
