Impossible to get 100% on any written assignment. Moodle page for the class was terribly unorganized. Assignments and quizzes lacked clear instructions making the class difficult. The work wasn't too bad but there was such a strong emphasis on grammar and punctuation that it made it hard to focus on the actual assignment.

Took this class online. First, it is impossible to get 100% on any written assignment so keep that in mind. Second, its online but there is one required in-class oral presentation, which would have been nice to know before signing up. I could tell a lot of students were struggling staying on task and were confused about due dates.

She was very helpful and caring towards learning in the class. It was an online class, but she was really fast at responding if you had any questions. Overall, she was punctual and thorough in the online class. I learned a lot, especially when she graded my papers. She does have the students' best interest in mind.

After submitting anonline assignment,she graded it.Many ofthe things shegraded as wrong were strong and notable examples in the text!Iwrote an email aboutit,but instead of a reply,shecancelled the last course assignment asif to say:"Fine,I'll just take away an opportunity fora grade."It would've been an easy 20pts to bringany wrongful bad gradesup.

I wish someone would of told me what she was like I would of changed my instructor. IF I take another class and do not know she is teaching it till after we go to class, I will get up and walk out. I will not take her again. She was rude and not willing to help her students through the class.

Not a nice lady. I changed my major after taking her class so I didn't run into her anymore. She was rude, unprofessional and just down right bad! STAY AWAY!

I was not a slacker...always did well in school, and she was awful! I don't think one person in my class REALLY enjoyed their time in there. Everything was so unclear, and she basically tore your papers apart! She totally turned me off of journalism.

Marilyn is awesome! She's a sweet lady and she really cares about her students. If you are interested in Journalism or if you need an extra class, take hers. You'll learn a lot, and if you go to class and pay attention, you'll get an A.

Bipolar at times but a very intelligent woman. She is also the faculty advisor for the WPP. If you show that you want to learn and you care about your grade, she will be good to you. Hates slackers.
