Just try to speak u in this class. I think she comes off as a mean person because shes very loud spoken and aggressive. She can be very rude and obnoxious though. Just do the little response papers, smile and nod, and get through the class. She may be way out there but she does have some good ideas.

The class wasnt too bad, had an average of 3 papers due everyweek but they are no more than a page each. She is a brillant woman but never make the mistake of calling her anything other than Dr. Nelson. The movie hour makes the class go fast and if you take her at night she never makes you stay the full three hours. I liked her.

I took an honors class, Women writers of the harlem renaissance. She basically made stuff up and belittled me because I'm white. She gave us an extension on our project and then yelled at us when we didn't turn it in on time. The readings were excellent but overall I walked out of that room each week stupider than when I walked in.

This class is a waste of time. She "lectures" for 45 minutes then puts on a video and leaves the room, after an hour you get up and leave. I couldn't tell you how this class will be helpful to me in teaching. Bring other work during the video time because everyone talks and you can't hear the movie anyway, may as well make the time useful!

She was a real interesting character. She just likes being right so even if you give the correct answer she says that it is wrong. I thought she was a fun teacher to mess with, but I wouldn't suggest it. Debate her on everything she says and do all of the work and you'll get an A-.
