Comment:

Dr. Mambo is one of the most caring professors I've had at IUP.Although her class is a bit more difficult than others,she encourages questions and she assigns work that will definitely help her students in the future. I loved her class, and I plan on taking her again for other courses.

TERRIBLE! I'm doing study guide for exam right now and it sucks so much. You have to know 20 different ages, and ten different art works! do not take Art history. She's a nice lady, and if you're a super dedicated Art major...then maybe this is the class for you...otherwise. NO!

Terrible class. It would probably work if her class wasn't at 8 am.Her study guides are not at all helpful. She gives you 10 works of art and expects you to know dates, names, styles, and subjects of each one but you only need to know 5. She gives a minimum of 100 words you need to know for the test and only about ten of them are actually on it.

Dr. Mambo really cares about her students and will do what she can to help you. I never opened either of the books that we had for her class. Her midterm was hard as hell, mostly fill in the blank and bulleted point about Bloom's Taxonomy, her final was mulitple choice and true and false so it was easy. The exams total are only 20% of your grade.

Very nice, and very approachable, relaxed on due dates as long as you do get it in. Tests are difficult, and requires you to memorize facts instead of learning. Overall put forth effort and you'll be fine. I hate art and still got a B in the class.

I am awful at art and ability definitely helps in this class. She is a very sweet lady but she will say that she wants to go over something quickly but won't stop talking and repeating the same things for an hour. Her tests are ridiculous difficult so make sure you study even though she acts like they will be simple.

Graded on ability NOT effort. Very random, rambled on about nothing of importance. Unorganized busy work. She picked apart our lesson plans even when well done. We learned NOTHING about methods, we just completed a bunch of crafts. Not work the time!!

Awful professor. Her readings are haphazard and have nothing to do with the lessons, her lectures are uninspired, and she shows movies almost everyday and expects you to stay after class to finish them. We haven't had an exam yet, but I have no idea what to expect. One of the worst classes I've had in my 4 years at IUP, and I even like art!

Shes the devil. Talks on and on about nothing constantly. Tests have nothing to do with anything and questions are worth like 1/4 a point. Run as far away as possible from her.

She is a very nice lady who I liked very much. Some art projects are fun, some take a very long time and are boring. Her quizzes and tests are only worth ten points, but have 40 questions...so don't think that when she says only worth '10' points to not study, or you'll fail. If you are good at art, you will definately do better in here..

very understanding about turning papers in on time but also very scatterbrained. you go over lots of slides and you watch interesting movies but for the Midterm, you had to memorize the name of the artist, title, year it was painted for 30 slides but tested on 6. you work hard for a good grade
