Dr. Schiering is truly an amazing professor. I will say that the class is less about Children's Literature and more about education. It was a good class that providing great resources for teaching, but was focused on it's subject. Expect in-class group projects & crafts, and be ready to write about yourself and laugh. I would definitely take again!

Dr. Schiering was a great professor, did not use textbook except for final project, but watch out for group projects. Curriculum was mostly crafts and projects kind of like high school. Easy, but not something I wanted to pay for in my 26,000 dollar tuition. She's great, but I expected more reading and writing like an english class. Really easy A.

I am a freshman and I have to say I wouldn't want to start off my years with anyone else. She is so inspirational. By far the most caring and best teacher I have ever had. I will take as many classes as I can with her while being here. I highly recommend her to anyone because she molds to your learning style. Very interactive.

This women is such an inspiration. Dr. Schiering is an amazing women with some great life lessons to share. Every week I look forward to coming to class. She will help you with any assignment and is very easy going. She changed my life in so many ways and i can't thank her enough. She is THE BEST PROFESSOR AT MOLLOY. "No Put Downs, Only Lift Ups"

She is an all around lovely woman. She may not be organized, but that has made it easier, because deadlines get pushed forward or dropped all together, the class has a lot of fun, it's just great. She is respectful and genuinely cares about her students. Love this woman. Work is easy and very useful, in not only the course, but in life. Must take!

BY FAR THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! She is so funny and everyone in the class adores her and her stories. We had a lot of projects but they were all so much fun to do. There was a lot of material, but it was clear and concise. Very interested in having children learn interactively. Very helpful on all projects with excellent feedback. Challenging work, but worthwhile. Emphasis on creativity development and cognition issues.
