Do not expect to get an easy A, and do expect your hand to hurt after his tests. Amos is a wonderful professor and really cares about the literature. He is a little disorganized but you just have to ask questions about it more and you'll get answers. By far one of my favorite teachers.

Dr. Amos is nice and funny, but he lacks organizational skills. If you take this class, don't expect to get grades back on big assignments. Because he is slow returning assignments, you go into finals week unsure of where you stand in the class. Despite his lack of organization, I'd recommend this class.

Amos is great. He seems tough, but really he's a big softie. One of the most engaging professor's I've ever had. Not quite clear sometimes, especially because he can be disorganized. But hey, that's an English prof.

Dr. Amos is an excellent professor. He approaches the material from different angles, as to help all of his students to learn. He is also very funny and approachable. You will not get an easy A in his class, but you will learn, and he will help you if you ask. Go for it. You will be glad that you did.

I had him for Early Brit Lit and Chaucer. The best teacher I have ever had. He s one of the most intelligent people I know, and puts more thought into his class than anyone else I have had. He is inspiring.

I'm afraid this class no longer exists, but I took it just to listen to him speak old english. oooh, even better than a welsh accent. He's tough, and memorizing chunks of old english is a pain, but the class was facinating.

Amos was a great teacher with a seemingly infinite amount of information that he enthusiastically related to his Chaucer class. He had a fair work load and creative assignments that made the class fly by. He was also more than willing to fill out a reccommendation for me months after I had him in class. I would reccommend him to anyone!

The class was somewhat intimidating, due to the fact that there were a great number of grad students in there the semester I took it. We did have some conversations about things that were over my head that no one took the time to fully explain, but it's my fault for not asking. Dr. Amos is great.
