Mark is extremely kind and very helpful. His lectures were interesting and tried to make students laugh:) The only problem I had with this course as a whole is for it being a upper division course its been the worst one I have taken at UCSC. The layout was sloppy and all of us were lost, because of that I received a B-.

Mark Carr is a great teacher, especially in combination with Pete Raimondi. Very easy to talk to. i like the teaching style, even if he does occasionally use powerpoint. I definately recommend taking his classes if you can

Comment:
This class may not be representative of Mark, since it's an 80-series class. Mark lectured for roughly 5 class meetings, then after that we had a different guest speaker every day. TA did most of the work. Overall learned a bit, but could have been better
