This guy is incredible. Wants the very best for his students and genuinely cares about us. The only thing I would press you to do is press him for more detail about an assignment when you're confused, as he doesn't give very specific detail sometimes. Otherwise in my top two favorite profs ever, what a character! Great stories to tell! Love him!!!

Unorthodox, but awesome! He designed the course for you to get an A. Literally, I don't think I talked to anyone who didn't get an A. Just go to class fairly regularly and you'll be fine. He is a great guy with some epic stories! The only homework we ever had was finding poems we liked and bringing them in. He lets you make up anything you missed.

Easy class, show up and participate in in-class exercises and you're good. Very personable teacher. Next to no work outside of class. The professor is very personable and makes the class personal so that it's hard to forget.

Mark is probably the nicest professor I have ever met. He 100% cares about his students and sees their writing as actual literature. He is very genuine with every suggestion and cares more than an prof I have ever had. You will not regret taking a class with him!

Seriously such an awesome professor. The course itself was very easy - no homework and just in class work that's done before you leave, and then a final paper at the end of the semester. Great guy, very knowledgeable about the material and his voice (!) is amazing. He's respectful of students, which is also important. Just a fun person to be around

Mark is the bomb! Show up, be nice, and he will be the best professor you have on campus. Not one test the whole semester. I learned more in this class than any other. He's a cool person too, if you talk to him. Ask him queations! He's got some great stories!! His voice is also like caramel.

Dr. Christensen was hands down one of the best professors I had in my four years at Bemidji. He's honest and hilarious, which helps to create a wonderful atmosphere. Christensen actually makes you THINK, even when you don't think you are. Both his English Education and his writing classes are HIGHLY recommended. He actually CARES about students.

Best professor I have had in my four years on this campus. Allows students to be responsible for their own learning, but is also really motivating and encouraging. Very laid back and easy to talk to about anything. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone.
