I usually have testing anxiety, but not with countryman because of the test format. He gets a little sidetracked sometimes doing proofs, but that's not so bad. He's funny too. Memorize the formulas and do the homework... very clear structure. I know exactly whats coming and when. It would be nice if there were more professors like him.

I took him for 112 & when I took McCaa for 240 I realized how precious Countryman is to a student's math grade lol. He's so easy! its like you're actually going to have fun while learning the material. I'm gonna take him for 242 definitely & if possible the rest of the 240 series.

He's a really funny guy with a VERY dry sense of humor. Bring a snare drum and a cymbal the first day of class for all his jokes. Do the homework and maybe get some old exams and his tests are cake!

Very funny guy, but not helpful at all. Makes lots of mistakes in probems and spends the whole class period trying to fix them. Tests are not easy despite what other people may tell you.

It's Countryman, not Countrymen. He is a good teacher, but tends to spend too much time deriving formulas and not enough on examples. When he does do examples, he often goes through every little arithmetic calculation, and this takes up a lot of class. He is a pretty easy A though.

I liked how the tests were only 10 questions long and he gave extra credit out, but it was only three points :/ He is very lazy and you won't hear anything about your test grades for about a week or so. The class felt rush, but I hear he's great for higher math classes.

This was the easiest math class I have ever taken in the 240 series. He takes problems directly from the homework, fudges the numbers a little bit, and puts those on the test. HE WON'T TRICK YOU! If you can learn how to do the problems, you'll do great on the test. He's an odd guy, but really funny and an incredible teacher. I highly recommend him.

He is a good teacher as far as knowing how to work problems and try's to be funny but isnt. I would laugh just to make him feel good. His test were nothing like the homework assigned in class. I would take him if you already know how to do the math you are about to take. If not do not take him!

He teaches pretty well. He'll go over any hw. questions, which is great, and also will personally help you with any problems. The tests can seem hard, but he gives partial credit, so that helps your grade a lot. I would suggest taking him.

I also took him for 240 and 242 and got B and A mainly b/c I didn't take Calc in high school is why I got B but his class is really easy and he is pretty good with giving u an A if you have a 88 or 89. HW is not required and u might have to do ALEKS for 240 or 241 but it is not bad. Recommended teacher.
